Dancing W/Stars - Elimination Night - Recount Time

Well I waited and waited to do this review until my blood stopped boiling. I am sure by now most of you know who went home. The question is why. I think for Sabrina to be voted off is a digrace to the process of finding the best dancer. This show, as is American Idol, nothing more than a popularity contest. I know it, you know it, we all know it. But ABC, if they wan't to retain any credibility, should do something about changing their scoring process so to prevent the better dancers from going home before ones that should go home. I know, ABC wants the media attention they get when something like this happens. But come on, Sabrina deserved to be in the final 4, final 3 and even in the finals...period. Sure she had dancing experience....so does Marie, so does Mel, so does Jane. And she may even have some ballroom dancing (she did do a tango in her last movie), but the show does not say they only get people with absolutely no dance experience. It's a show to find the best dancer, not a show to find a dancer within a non-dancer. I am really outraged by Sabrina's ouster, but who do we blame. The voting public? ABC? The judges? I personally think first and foremost, with the scoring process the way it is, you blame hte voting public. If they wanted her to stay in, she would have gotten the votes. But ultimately you blame ABC. They let the voting public have too much say and therefore sometimes the better dancer goes home. If the judges scores counted for more than half, I guarantee you Jane or Marie would have gone home. I was pleased to see Sabrina go out with class and grace, even though you could clearly see she was shocked and devasted. She never thought she would go home this early....neither did I.

Now on to the recap of the show.......

Tom tells us that Jane Seymore will not be in attendance tonight due to a case of food poisoning. This poor woman has so much bad luck right now, it's a wonder she can concentrate on dancing.

The encore dance is the group number. Again a good dance, unfortunately Tony had to dance alone since Jane was not there. He made the most of it and the dance was again enjoyable.

Barry Manilow is up next, but first Tom gives a much deserved shoutout to two of the LA County Firefighters who are in attendance. We get a fantastic treat when Barry sings, Louis and Cheryl!!!! They dance so perfectly together, I so wish we could see more of them.

Our first round of "who's safe" reveals that Mela nd Maks are safe as is Jane and Tony?!?! Hun??? WOW....first shocker of the night because I clearly had Jane pegged to be in the bottom two. You know some disturbing reports have come out that Jane is dissing the other contestants. This is something I would never expect from her, being the classy elegant lady she is. But I guess competition brings out the worst in everyone. Unfortunately because Jane was not in the bottom two I don't think she will get the good dose of humility she needs.

One of this weeks fluff pieces, if you can call it that, is a preview of the new show coming Bruno and Carrie Ann are in. It's called "Bruno and Carrie Ann...Dance Wars'. This is basically a merge of American Idol and So You think You Can Dance. The contestants have to be able to sing and dance and apparently they will be coached by Bruno and Carrie Ann and they two teams face off. Tonight we get a sample of the dancing that will take place on the show.

Barry Manilow is back singing a classic...."Mandy". I love this song. It reminds me of roller skating when I was much younger. Thankfully Barry is much more gracious than some of our previous guest stars (calling J.Lo) and does not mind sharing the stage with the professional dancers. For this dance we get Tony and Anna and they dance what appears to be a waltz. A beautiful waltz. Tony and Anna are incredible to watch!

Our next filler piece is a Q & A. This time the stars get to question the judges. Not really any out of the ordinary questions, but again Jane brings up the lift issue to Carrie Ann. Come on Jane get over it already. Whether you did a lift or not, it's time to move on.
Another filler piece showing the frienships backstage between all the stars. This did not show me anything new. I will have to say it was hard to believe anything Jane said considering her remarks about her co-stars to the media.

The last five couples learn their fate:

Helio and Julianne-safe
Cameron and Edyta-bottom 2
Jennie and Derek-safe
Marie and Jonathan-safe
Sabrina and Mark-bottom 2

????????????????????????? What the hell happened here. I might could believe Cameron in the bottom two, but not Sabrina. Everyone is stunned....the audience, the other dancers, the judges. Bruno and Len both say there is no way Sabrina should be in the bottom two and Carrie Ann is in tears. Tom said it best when he said he had Sabrina pegged for the finals. So the final reveal is made and Sabrina is going home. I don't think anyone in that room expected that. Cameron was clearly shocked as was Sabrina. Kudos to Sabrina for leaving gracefully but you could see in her final dance with Mark how clearly upset she was.

until next week when hopefully America will get it right............

The Bachelor - Hometown Visits

So tonight our buff Brad visits the hometowns of the remaining girls. This should be interesting considering the previews. In the previews we see that Sheena's mom is a astrology nut, Bettina's dad is a snob, DeAhnna's family is a bunch of crazy greek nuts and Jenni is obsessed with being a Phoenix Suns Dancer.

First up is Jenni and she meets Brad at the center where she won her first dance competition. Her prize, $50. After she explains all this to him, she performs a quick dance to show off her moves and her assets. Nest they head over to her mom's hair salon which appears to double as her home. There we meet her dad, step mom, mom and her grandma. During lunch, grandma seems to be the type of woman who speaks her mind, no matter what. And what a pistol she is. She asks Brad if he is a tee-totaler since he is a bar owner and when the subject of kids comes up and Brad says he wants a lot of kids, grandma says that no way will her granddaughter be a baby making machine. LOL grandma! Mom takes Brad away to one of her hair washing stations and proceeds to wash Brad's hair. I guess you can tell a lot by someones hair. During the wash job she asks Brad why he is still single if he works in a bar. Of course Brad gives the stock answer of "I don't meet women like Jenni in the bar". Good one Brad! Back to the table and Dad wants to give a toast and he toasts to the fact that the Phoenix Suns have accepted Jenni as a dancer, which makes her very happy. I am not sure if this will bode well for her and Brad but she tells Brad that she has to do it and doesn't think being long distance for a year will hurt them if she is his choosen one.

Sheena is up next and she meets Brad at the marina where mom and dad come floating in on a big boat. We get some fun time with these two as Brad is treated to a innertube ride before they all settle down on the front of the boat and this is where we learn that Sheena's mom is a kook. It is now that she reveals that she is a star worshiper and she believes that Brad and Sheena are meant to be according to the stars. Once they all head back home, Brad has some one on one with Sheena's kooky mom. During this one on one, Sheena's mom goes off on some tirad about Sheena being the "one"....maybe not Brad's one, but someone's one....hun.....She also tells Brad that "we are ready to commit". Another hun.....since when does the mother commit to the boyfriend. This woman needs to read her stars again...she is out there! The date ends with Sheena and Brad in the jacuzzi and Sheena worried that maybe her mom embarrased her. Brad says no...to be polite....that it was great to see where she comes from.

DeAhnna is next in sunny Georgia and she arrives with a gift. Wanna guess what she brings him....one guess is all you will need, I guarantee it. That's it....Georgia peaches...how original. We get to meet dad, brother, sister and step mom. During alone time with Dad, Brad asks him if he thinks this process can be real. Dad of course says yes because he sees the sparkle in Didi's eyes. Brad agrees. Didi's shows up with a photo album so she can show him pictures of her mother. In case you were wondering, her mother died of cancer when she was young. After looking through several pages of photos, Didi stops him from proceeding further and says he will get to see the rest when he returns again. All of a sudden, the rest of the family shows up and right away you see this is the part of the family that cherishes their greek heritage. After several shots, they all begin to dance and Brad gives us his best "Opah". Good times...

Our last hometown date will prove to be the most real. Bettina greets Brad in Washing DC in what appears to maybe be pj's. She has a tank top on and what could be confused with sweats, but they look like pj bottoms. My daughter wears stuff like that to bed so that is what I am believing she is wearing. Brad gets to meet her dad, mom, step mom and sister. All a bunch of judgemental idiots. Dad is the first and the biggest of the judgementals. When Brad revelas he never finished college you could see Dad cring. He is a professor so anything short of a college degree is not acceptable. We see dad in a confessional as he is heading out for private time with Bettina and he tells us that Bettina's ex-husband is as good as they get and she will never ever find anyone better. During this private time, Brad is cornered by mom and step mom who tells him that he can't play with someones heart. They both basically accuse him of leading the girls on. Apparently these two ladies have no idea how this process works. Brad and Bettina leave the house and head out to talk. It is during this time that Brad lets Bettina know he does not appreciate being judged. His words "I may not have an education but I am intelligent enough to know better than to judge someone". It is hear where Bettina seals her fate and she tells Brad "We'll I don't look that good on paper either"......open mouth, inset foot. You can see it in Brad's face that he is really upset at the fact that these people are judging him because he doesn't have a college degree and he owns 4 bars. Forget the fact he is a self made millionaire....

It's rose ceremony time and of course there is no pre-party or one-on-one time. It's cut to the chase. Didi gets the first rose, no surprise there. Jenni is next and again no surprise. What does surprise me is that Bettina gets the next rose. I was sure he was gonna keep Sheena one more week, especially after that disaster of a hometown date with Bettina. We learn that Brad sends Sheena home because he just doesn't think he is the perfect guy for her and she deserves a perfect guy. Sheena tells Brad that he is allshe ever thinks of....the first thing when she wakes up and the last thing when she goes to bed. But alas to no avail, Sheena is sent home and more than likely back to her ex-boyfriend.

The previews from next week tell us that the fantasy dates will all be in Cabo. I can't remember when all the fantasy dates were in the same place....were they ever?

until then............

Dancing With The Stars - Take Your Pick Night

For tonight, the stars get to pick their dance they want to do from the list of dances they have not done yet. We will also get the group number tonight, which will be a rock-n-roll number that should be lots of high energy with lots of lifts.....legal lifts that the stars dedicate to Carrie Ann...lol

First up tonight is Sabrina and Mark with the foxtrot. I think they did a good job. Sabrina is defiantely better with the faster, funkier dances, but she did a really nice foxtrot. Unfortunately Lena nd Bruno thought she was being too agressive. Carrie Ann disagreed with them and frankly so did I. Not her best, but by far not bad. A nine form Carrie Ann and 8's from Len and Bruno.

Jennie and Derek are next with a mambo. due to Jennie's lackluster performance with a latin dance last week, I really thought this mambo would be ho-hum. But I was wrong. I thought she did a great job. She came out of her shell and had a lot of fun with it. The judges agreed and she got three 9's

Jane and Tony are next and will be doing a jive. During their practice segment we see that they went to visit some sailors and dance for them. This was not one of Jane's better dances. Although you could see she was having fun with it, unfortunately she seemed heavy footed. Her kicks and flicks fell flat for me. Two 7's and an 8.

Cameron and Edyta are next with a sambo. To get Cameron in the grove, Edyta takes him to experience the carnival spirit that will be needed for this dance. Unfortunately the music they are given has a tribal undertone and sounds nothing like Carnival. Edyta is dressed like Pochahantas and Cameroon....well anything he wears that is sleveless is ok with me. I personally liked their dance, even thought it was more tribal than carnival. Carrie Ann agreed with me, but Bruno and Len had a problem with the warrior. 9, 8, 8 gets them pretty decent scores.

Mel and Maks have the rhumba tonight. Ok, you all know I don't like Mel but love love love Maks....hubba hubba. Their rhumba tonight is good (Maks did great), but for me at a perfect score, which is what the judges gave them. It may have been hot, for some, but I just did not feel it. And I am sure it is because I just don't like Mel.

Marie and Jonathan are next and have the pasa doble. Marie tells Jonathan that she wants to be the bull....lol! This is probably a good dance for Marie to do this week. It's not too fast and will hopefully stop all the naysayers who insist Marie must quit or the producers must make her quit because of her fainting spell last week. They perform a good safe pasa, but I was so hoping for something more dramatic from Marie. 8, 8, 7 for their scores.

Helio and Julianne are back tonight with a cha cha. Helio is glad to be back in him element, that being a fun dance that she can smile all the way through. The serious dances don't see to work for Helio. You know last year, I LOVED Julianne. What she did with Apollo was amazing. But this year, eh....not feeling her at all. She seems to have gotten the big head and become more arrogant and bossy to her star. Their cha cha was good...not great but good. And you could tell Helio had more fun wiht this dance. Surprizingly 2 9's and a 10 for their dance. I guess I really do not know what I am talking about...lol

Our much anticipated group rock-n-roll number choreographed by Christian Perry is next. Their practice footage revelas they only have one day of practice. They have to learn the routine and polish the routine in one session. WOW....They did an amazing job. It was a Jocks versus the Cool Kids theme and they rocked t. The lifts were great. Makes me wish the freestyle were here already.

Tomorow night is the results show and the special guest singer will be none other than Barry Manilow. Will we get to see Louis VanAmstel dancing to CopaCabana again.....we can only hope!!!!

Until then.........

Survivor China - Who Finds the Hidden Immunity Idol

Survivor: China's sixth episode began at the Zhan Hu camp, with the tribe's three original members -- Jaime Dugan, a 22-year-old student from Columbia, SC; Peih-Gee Law, a 29-year-old jeweler from Marina Del Rey, CA; and Erik Huffman, a 26-year-old musician from Nashville, TN -- all asleep. However, James Clement, a 30-year-old grave digger from Lafayette, LA who was traded from Fei Long to Zhan Hu during the previous episode, busily worked around the camp.
In hindsight, Peih-Gee said she was "confident" about the decision she and Jaime made to throw the previous Immunity Challenge, which led to the elimination of Aaron Reisberger, who like James was traded to Zhan Hu from Fei Long. Peih-Gee also knew that if Zhan Hu were to throw the next Immunity Challenge, they could easily eliminate James. That decision would allow Peih-Gee, Jaime and Erik to "reconnect" with former Zhan Hu members Sherea and Michael "Frosti" Zernow, a 20-year-old parkour athlete/student from Chicago, IL. "If we throw the next Immunity Challenge, James is going to be gone," said Peih-Gee. "Best possible scenario, we merge at that point. And if that happens, we'll be able to reconnect with Frosti and Sherea."

James strategy was to work as hard as possible around camp so the other Zhan Hu members were well-rested for the upcoming challenges. However he realized his fate was largely in there hands. "Aaron's gone and I'm just at their mercy right now," said James. "If they throw another challenge, I'm gone." Fei Long's tribe members tried to sleep, but it was difficult with Jean-Robert Bellande, a 36-year-old professional poker player from Las Vegas, NV, snoring his head off. As the tribe awoke, Todd Herzog, a 22-year-old flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, UT, decided to explain to his ally Amanda Kimmel, a 23-year-old hiking guide and Miss Montana USA 2005 from Los Angeles, CA, that he knew a Hidden Immunity Idol was hidden somewhere at Fei Long's camp. After explaining how he received the clues to the whereabouts of the Idol, Todd said he was going to wait until after he found it to share the news but was having a hard time pinpointing its location at camp. "I was kind of shocked because I didn't know about any Hidden Immunity Idol," said Amanda. "So we're going to do everything we can to find that Idol today. We have to." Todd continued his clever game play and realized what finding the Hidden Immunity Idol would mean for the original Fei Long members. "If we win [the Reward Challenge] today, we're bringing over either Aaron or James, whoever's left," said Todd.
"Because they're going to give us a clue as to where that Hidden Immunity Idol is, and Amanda and I will have control in this game."

Fei Long and Zhan Hu then met for the Reward Challenge, and Fei Long realized Zhan Hu had booted Aaron at the previous Tribal Council. Survivor host Jeff Probst explained the rules. One person from each tribe would race through the ruins of an abandoned Chinese village; locate a puzzle board; untie it and bring it back to their tribe mat. The next person would then go, and once the tribes collected all eight boards, they would use the puzzle pieces to decode a phrase made famous by Confucius. The winning tribe would be taken to a Tea House where they could take a shower, use a Western toilet, and enjoy some tea and a snack. In addition, the winning tribe would also be able to "kidnap" a member of the losing tribe, who will remain with the winning team until the next Immunity Challenge. Due to Fei Long's three-person advantage, Amanda; Denise Martin, a 40-year-old school lunch lady from Douglas, MA; and Courtney Yates, a 26-year-old waitress from New York, NY, sat out for the challenge. James was the first to enter the village for Zhan Hu, and he was pitted against Jean-Robert. The poker player grabbed a small lead over James, and Peih-Gee was the next to run the course for Zhan Hu up against Sherea. "Now we're all good," quickly whispered Peih-Gee to Sherea as they worked side-by-side in the village. "We're still with you guys. Tell Frosti, okay?" Sherea didn't seem to acknowledge Peih-Gee, and Fei Long kept their lead. They never really relinquished it, as Fei Long was the first to collect all eight puzzle pieces and started putting it together. Frosti seemed to easily decipher the Confucius phrase, and Fei Long won Reward. Not surprisingly, they kidnapped James. "Come on home for a night!" said a gregarious Jean-Robert.

James accompanied Fei Long on their trip to the Tea House, and they all thoroughly enjoyed their time there, although Courtney was trying to stay as far away from Jean-Robert as possible. "He took the [bath] on the far end, I took the [bath] on the other far end," she said. "Every single part of me wants to see Jean-Robert go. I just don't like him... He's a horrible person." At Zhan Hu's camp, Jaime complained. "I'm sick of this place. Like, I really am," she told Peih-Gee and Erik. He answered that he's just sick of losing, and Peih-Gee commented about the remarks she made to Sherea during the Reward Challenge. "We're still into keeping Sherea, Frosti, Erik, Peih-Gee and I together," said Jaime. "We would do anything to save them. We'd throw a challenge to save them. We did it. But Frosti won't make eye contact with us. We don't know if he's changed his mind and switched over with them... Now everything's just unknown and it's really hard to deal with." Erik said he was also "unsure" about what Frosti and Sherea's strategy was, but added it "flops everything" if they were to align with Fei Long. Peih-Gee -- who concocted the plan to throw the previous Immunity Challenge -- was suddenly singing a different tune. "We have to win Immunity," she said sternly. "We have to win Immunity."

Before Fei Long left the Tea House, Todd approached James and told him he knew about the Hidden Immunity Idol and could use it to "help save" the former Fei Long member. "I promise. I've got a whole plan," assured Todd. James was a little hesitant at first, but what choice did he have but to trust Todd? "I hope it's worth it. I need something to save me. I'm in a bad spot right now," said James. "Todd, he's corner-stoned all alliances on [Fei Long]. So I'm going to go over to Todd and roll the dice and maybe it'll come up right... If not, I'm pretty much gone any ways so I have to do it."

Back at Fei Long's camp, James gave the tribe's fourth Hidden Immunity Idol clue to Todd, who has the other three. Todd read the clue and immediately knew the Idol was attached to a wooden archway in the middle of camp. But instead of waiting for other Fei Long members to vacate the area, Amanda began to knock shingles off the archway as a diversion while Todd tried to pull the Idol off of it. The idea backfired when Frosti unsuspectingly came over and climbed atop the archway to help knock off shingles, and Todd said he went "into panic mode." Amanda kept goading Frosti to get down, which he did, and Todd was eventually able to pull the Idol off. But written across the back of the clue was, "Congratulations. You have found the Hidden Immunity Idol," and while Amanda and Todd tried to conceal it, Frosti was easily able to read it. "This has to be the worst way in history of getting an Immunity Idol," said Amanda. "Like honestly, in front of everybody?!"

The three then walked down to the beach where Todd threatened to kill Frosti if he told anybody about it. Todd explained to Amanda that they had no choice but to now trust Frosti, who was aware of how his standing in the competition just got a boost. "Being there when they got the Idol cements my place in their group," beamed Frosti. "I'm there for sure. Frosti's in!" Todd then set his master plan into motion. He gave the Hidden Immunity Idol to James so he could take it back to Zhan Hu with him. "If James takes that Idol, loses Immunity, [Zhan Hu] vote[s] for him," explained Todd. "But he uses the Idol to get rid of Jaime. We sever the tie between her and Erik. Hopefully at 10 we'll merge and [Fei Long will] still have our numbers to go strong into the merge." Todd also made sure to tell James to look for the Hidden Immunity Idol at Zhan Hu's camp, not entirely positive but still pretty sure that there's also one there.

After arguing so vehemently about Zhan Hu throwing the previous Immunity Challenge because he hates to lose, James now found himself needing to throw the next Immunity Challenge. "So now all I have to do is stay focused, keep my head in the game, lose the Immunity Challenge, get the other Idol, and I'll have both of them," he said. "I mean, it's going to be wonderful!" Todd told Denise and Courtney about his plan so that everyone would try their hardest at the next Immunity Challenge and the plan would unfold perfectly.

The castaways then arrived for their sixth Immunity Challenge, and James rejoined Zhan Hu. Jeff explained the rules, with tribe members squaring off against each other in a food eating competition of Chinese dishes. The first person to get their food down and show an empty mouth scores a point and the first tribe to four points wins Immunity. Fei Long had to sit Todd, Jean-Robert and Sherea. Frosti quickly ate his 10 chicken hearts ahead of Peih-Gee, and Fei Long took a 1-0 lead. Courtney and Jaime were close as they both tried to choke down three pieces of eel -- which included the heads -- however Jaime was just a hair quicker opening her mouth and allowing Zhan Hu to tie the score. Erik also won a close round against Amanda -- chomping and swallowing three baby turtles and narrowly being the first to reveal an empty mouth -- giving Zhan Hu a 2-1 lead. James faced Denise next and both had to eat two chicken fetuses with feathers. James tried his damndest to throw the challenge, but Denise couldn't choke back the chicken. James put on a good show, but once he realized Denise wasn't going to finish her dish, he solemnly ate all that was on his plate and gave Zhan Hu a 3-1 lead. Needing only one point to win Immunity, Erik ate a 1,000-year-old egg faster than Frosti and clinched it for Zhan Hu.

Back at Fei Long's camp Denise apologized about letting her tribe down, aware that James was doing his best to let her win. "Perfect plan. Genius idea. Smashed," said Todd, who still tried to "look on the positive side" that Fei Long could vote out either Frosti or Sherea, the two original Zhan Hu members. Todd, Amanda and Denise all agreed to vote for Sherea at the upcoming Tribal Council, and Todd thought Frosti would be on board too since it would help further their trust. With Sherea all but booted, Courtney wasn't so sure. "After thinking about it for a little while, I actually like Sherea," said Courtney. "If it came down to it -- of who I thought would vote me out quicker -- I definitely think that she would keep me around longer than Jean-Robert." Courtney told Sherea she was on the chopping block, and the two decided they would vote for Jean-Robert. "As far as Jean-Robert, he'll vote any of them out," said Sherea. "So the same time they're looking at me, they need to be scared of each other." Courtney then approached Todd, Amanda and Frosti about the possibility of ousting Jean-Robert instead of Sherea because he's a larger threat and she doesn't trust him. Amanda tried to tell Courtney that they need to look at the "bigger picture" before they start eating their own. Todd quickly realized that his alliance with Amanda was making them "power players" in the competition, something that made the targets on their backs grow larger with every passing day. "They'll get rid of us if we don't start doing what people want!" said Todd to Amanda. "Because Jean-Robert is not stupid. He will turn on us!" Amanda assured Todd this was "not the time" to eliminate Jean-Robert and added her gut feeling was to boot Sherea. "And my gut's saying Jean-Robert!" Todd fired back. "This sucks!" Jean-Robert was aware there was something going on. "I like to trust my gut and my vibe," said Jean-Robert. "So far, I've really felt comfortable about my position in the game. Then all of a sudden something doesn't feel a 100% to me. The plan was either Sherea or Frosti, most likely Sherea, but I gotta tell you, I'm uneasy right now."

Survivor: China's sixth Tribal Council then commenced, and Sherea told Jeff she noticed "a lot of shadiness" happening around the Fei Long camp after losing the Immunity Challenge. Jeff then asked Jean-Robert if his strategy was changing the longer he's in the game. "I'm a changed person now. I find myself doing a little cooking, a little fire and it's routine now. It's not even chores," said Jean-Robert. Sherea didn't like Jean-Robert's answer and attacked him for "always running his mouth, story after story." "You talk to people who aren't going to say anything to you," Sherea said to Jean-Robert. "Little do you know, they don't like you." "I'm certain that some of the people don't like me," confirmed Jean-Robert. "I'm a bad boy. Sometimes that happens. But you know even as a bad boy -- being aggressive -- I like the way I'm playing this game." Courtney laughed at Jean-Robert for describing himself as a "bad boy." "We don't get along. We don't like each other," said Courtney about Jean-Robert. "Lot of self-rightousness... He's just a crappy person." Courtney then explained how she felt like Fei Long's "outsider" before Sherea and Frosti arrived -- a comment that didn't sit too well with Todd -- because he's "loved her since Day 3." Courtney said Fei Long's a "cliquey" tribe. "For you to say that your still on the outskirts and that you're not close to me is a little bit like rubbing salt in the wounds," said Todd. "Even with this infighting going on, and this is the place to air out dirty laundry, when it comes to the challenges and coming together I think we really do work well together as a team," said Jean-Robert. "We're in a good spot. I like where we're at." Jean-Robert was in a good spot -- but Sherea? -- not so much, as she was booted from Survivor:China by a 5-2 vote. She and Courtney were only two tribe members to vote for Jean-Robert.

ANTM - Mangos & Tyson

Top Model's fifth episode began with Ebony wondering if her personality really "sucks as much" as the judges told her it did. She added she was "tired" of the bad criticism she was receiving at photo shoots as well as at panel. Ebony decided to "try to smile more and come-off like a nice person." As Ebony pondered her own situation, Ambreal called her dad and complained about landing in the bottom two at the previous panel. Heather, a 21-year-old college student from Valparaiso, IN who suffers from Asperger's, a mild form of Autism that hinders her social interaction and verbal communication, also felt like she was having "one of those days" as she considered the judges' recent criticism that she takes too many profile shots. Bianca, an 18-year-old college student from Queens, NY, suggested Heather take all of her shots at the next shoot straight on.

The nine remaining runway wannabes then received a knock on the door and were greeted by male model and newly announced Make Me a Supermodel host Tyson Beckford. That brought a smile to Ebony's face, as she was clearly star-struck and overwhelmed by meeting Tyson, as were most of the girls. Tyson informed them that being a spokesperson is an important part of the modeling industry and instructed the girls to pick items from the kitchen, which they would have to come-up with a "sexy pitch" for.
Chantal, a 19-year-old student from Austin, TX, sexily sold a lime Popsicle;
Ebony struggled pitching a water pitcher due to Tyson's presence, and he wasn't impressed; while Heather did a great job pushing a wine glass. The girls then traveled to a production studio, where Tyson explained how he's involved with the "I Am African" campaign. For their next reward challenge, the nine girls would be split into teams of three and had to create a 30-second public-service announcement for the "Keep a Child Alive" AIDS campaign, with their performance being judged by the organization's vice president Elizabeth Santiso.

The first group consisted of Bianca; Chantal; and Lisa, a 20-year-old dancer from Jersey City, NJ. While the group had some good ideas during their brainstorming session, both Chantal and Bianca flubbed their lines during the actual PSA. Ambreal; Heather; and Jenah, an 18-year-old student from Farmington, CT, made-up the second group, and they had a lot of trouble thinking of ideas for their PSA. However once they presented it, the group utilized props well and kept the amount of information they used as simple and concise as possible. The third group consisted of Ebony; Saleisha, a 21-year-old receptionist from Los Angeles, CA; and Sarah, a 20-year-old college student from Heath, MA. While they packed their PSA with tons of information and nailed all of their lines, Elizabeth was concerned because they said "Keep a Child Alive" dealt with AIDS prevention, which isn't true. Elizabeth chose Ambreal, Heather and Jenah as the reward challenge's winners, and each received a $500 gift basket from Carol's Daughter. In addition, Heather's name was randomly selected out of the three group members, and she was awarded with the opportunity to participate in a photo shoot for Carol's Daughter that was directed by singer Mary J. Blige. "I seriously was tempted to pinch myself," said Heather. "I had to remember to breathe and remember this is actually real."

Heather met photographer Matthew Rolston for the Carol Daughter's shoot before being introduced to Mary J., who helped Heather pick-out a colorful wardrobe. While Matthew had to keep instructing Heather to keep her head straight, she listened and was confident the profile shots she was producing were a thing of the past.

Back at the house, the girls received some Tyra Mail as to what the theme of their next photo shoot would be, and Ebony dropped the bomb that she wanted out of the competition. "I really want to go home," she told some of the other girls, who were shocked to hear the words come out of her mouth. Ebony elaborated that the reasoning behind wanting to leave was that she was "really, really homesick." Heather returned from the Carol's Daughter shoot and gushed about meeting Mary J., and Bianca was baffled by how easily Heather makes modeling look.

The next morning the girls met Top Model art director Jay Manuel for their photo shoot, which he explained would be a high-fashion editorial about recycling, with each of the participants portraying a different recyclable material. Fredric Reshew served as photographer. Heather was the first girl to go and she portrayed aluminum cans. Jay commented how there wasn't a single profile frame, and thought Heather looked "gorgeous." Jenah portrayed cardboard, and Jay was also impressed how well she "constantly listens" to the feedback he gives her. Bianca also excelled portraying oil, as Jay was impressed with her sexy, sleepy eyes, which she had been practicing in the mirror. Ebony wasn't so lucky during her part of the shoot. She portrayed bubble wrap, and Jay asked her to be a "little less scared" and to "'find something happy in there." He remembered how well she did during the previous shoot, however this time he called her performance "uninspiring" and "a little trampish." "I thought I was working it," she told Jay, who responded with a startled, "Really!?" "She is so not vested... I don't even know what to say," commented Jay when Ebony walked away. Ambreal also struggled portraying newspaper, and Jay was surprised how "inexperienced" Ambreal looked since she did so well during the first few weeks of the competition. "Don't force it too much," he told her, but she still forced it and her shoot didn't turn out too well. "It was boring and she totally forgot about her face," he said. "It just was really uninspiring."

Prior to the judging panel, Ambreal and Ebony expressed different feelings about the upcoming elimination. "I really think that I can be America's Next Top Model. I have it in my heart. This has been my dream since I was little," said Ambreal. "I just pray that I can stay here and prove myself." Ebony was also asking for the Lord's help. "We're going to elimination, and I'm praying and hoping that Tyra will make me go home. Like basically don't call my name," she said. "I can't handle the criticism after the photo shoots, I almost don't think it's fair."

The nine remaining aspiring runway walkers then had their fifth individual evaluations, where they would be judged by Tyra; runway expert J. "Ms. J" Alexander; photographer Nigel Barker; former model Twiggy; and Tyson.
Nigel commented how Ambreal looked "dead" in the eyes, and she blamed it on the fake eyelashes she was wearing. Tyra said "it's not an excuse" and then told Ambreal that Jay had nothing positive to say about her photo shoot and also wondered when she forgot how to model. "It's up to you to become even more comfortable in your natural ability," Tyra told Ambreal. "That's your challenge during this competition, because when I look at your film now, I don't know who that is. It's not the girl who started."
Not surprisingly Ebony also ran into some problems, as her photo featured what Twiggy described as a "lip snarl." Twiggy added "it's not good." Tyra then told Ebony that Jay said she "came to the set completely uninspiring and seemed to be intimidated by authority figures." "If somebody's hard on you and scolding you and critiquing you, it's because they believe there's so much potential," Tyra told Ebony. "We want it to ignite. I know critique can be difficult, but it's only going to make you better."
Once all the individual evaluations were complete, the judges began to deliberate which girl would be the fifth one eliminated. Tyra said Ebony seemed "weaker" and openly wondered if she wanted to be here and Tyson said Ebony "gets it" but believes she's above criticism. While all the judges thought Ambreal was a "nice girl" and was pretty, they were unsure if that makes a "top model."
Tyra then revealed Saleisha, Jenah, Heather, Bianca, Sarah, Chantal and Lisa were all safe. She added the judging panel agreed with jay's assessment that Ambreal and Ebony were the "weakest," and decided to keep the girl that has the most "potential," which they deemed to be Ebony, meaning Ambreal was eliminated. "I don't really want to be here," said Ebony to Tyra before she started crying. "You don't want to be here?" calmly asked Tyra. "Why not? It's okay, talk to me." "Modeling is not for me..." said Ebony through sobs. "You know what I think is not for you?" answered Tyra. "I don't think it's modeling. I think it's people telling you what to do. I think it's people telling you you're not perfect. I think that's what you can't handle. The most unattractive thing in the world to me is a quitter -- and for that -- you can go." Ebony left and Tyra explained there was "something beautiful about this situation" for Ambreal since she's getting a second chance. "It was meant to be," whispered Tyra to a visibly emotional Ambreal.

Kid Nation - "What's That Smell"

Tonight begins of course with the usual recap of last week which brought us two new council members in the form of yellow Team, Zach and red team, Gulan. Their first problem is how to deal with the stinky garbage mess they have accumulated.

So, Anjay, Laurel, Zach and Guylan walks to the town bell to wake up the Kids. Taylor is still in bed and wants to make life difficult for Zach. Taylor is determined to have a little payback, “I’m getting Zach back for all the pressure he put on me. Now I’m putting pressure on him.” When Zach rings the morning wakeup bell, Taylor yells insults at him, while Leila and Kelsey giggle at every wisecrack.
Next, the council members read the Pioneer Journal. You know the one that was left behind by the pioneers of the 1800's for these new modern day pioneers. The one that just happens to have the same exact problems as the kids do on the same time frame....***rolls eyes***
The Council decides the way to solve the problem is by having a group of Kids gather and bury the trash at the town limits. Of course the rest of the kids want Taylor and Leila selected for this duty....and they are.

The other Kids choosen gather to do the nasty work of cleaning up and hauling away the trash. Of course Taylor and Leila attempt to get out of their duty but the Council refuses to back down. When Laurel tells them to get to work, the two pageant queens run away. Laurel, Morgan and DK confront the two young girls in their hiding place. Taylor and Leila won’t listen to them, so the older Kids leave them in town, but tell them that they will have to face punishment for shirking work. Leila later reconsiders and helps out with the trash removal out of fear of the possible punishment.

Even with the oldest and strongest Kids involved, it’s hard work disposing of the trash. The Kids take turns digging a large hole. Poor Guylan has difficulty digging and a few of the older Kids mock him. Guylan relates, “It’s a pretty nasty feeling when everyone is counting on you and you let them down.” DK takes Guylan aside and offers him some advice about leadership. DK is concerned that Guylan is having a hard time and it’s only his first day on the job. DK encourages Guylan to be more assertive and stand up for himself. Being a leader is difficult and DK is positive that Guylan is up to the task; he just has to work a little harder at being the Red District leader. Guylan is thankful for DK’s advice and considers him his big brother. I smell a new red team council member when new elections roll around.....
After successfully dealing with the garbage, the Council must tackle another issue: Taylor. The four young leaders assign Taylor her punishment: she must fill up the nearly empty town water tank by herself. Taylor’s response to the Council’s assignment is to fill up two buckets of water and dump them in their sights. The leaders confront an angry, crying Taylor in her bunkhouse. Taylor tries to escape the bunkhouse, but the Council members block her way. Laurel eventually allows Taylor to leave and cool down. Taylor angrily runs away vowing to go home.

The water tower is still empty, and some Kids are in the kitchen cleaning dishes with black water, realizing they need to fix this problem. DK mobilizes the Kids in a water brigade, and with almost all of the Kids pitching-in, the job is accomplished in a short time.

It's time for the Showdown and as the Kids arrive at the Showdown, they are greeted by Jonathan and a herd of stinky, squealing pigs. To make matters worse, the pigs are wallowing in a gigantic frying pan filled with 1,600 gallons of baked beans. The Kids from each District will have to wade through the sloppy beans to collect cans in their District color. The Kids have fifteen minutes to collect as many cans as possible; the number of cans collected will determine what class each District ends up in. If all of the Districts are able to collect 75 cans, then the whole town will win a reward.

The Kids all agree that this is one of the most disgusting tasks that they’ve had to complete in Bonanza City. The fifteen minutes are up all too quickly and the Kids are nervous as Jonathan counts the cans. Guylan happily leads the Red District to take the Upper Class with 24 cans, while Laurel and the Kids from the Green District become the new town Merchants with 20 cans. Anjay and the rest of the Blue District become Laborers for the first time after collecting 17 cans, while the Yellow District is back in the kitchen after collecting 19 cans. Whatever their new class may be, all of the Kids are comforted by the fact that they’ve collected 80 cans and have won a town reward.
But what reward will the Council members choose? The two options: a mouth-watering array of fruits and vegetables or two gasoline-powered dune buggies good for hauling and joy riding. After tense deliberations the Council members pick the fruits and vegetables. While a few of the Kids are a bit mad at losing out on the dune buggies, all of the Kids make a free-for-all for their reward, joyfully munching on the fresh fruit and vegetables.
The next morning, Zach faces the tough consequences of his District becoming Cooks at the Showdown: how will he manage to get Taylor and her gang of girls to do work? When Taylor and Leila refuse to wash dishes, choosing to make fruit salad instead, Zach confronts the two, demanding that they do their assigned duties. The two girls refuse but Zach doesn’t back off; he puts his foot down refusing to pay the girls until they start working and threatening to make sure that neither girl ever gets the Gold Star!

There’s trouble elsewhere in Bonanza City, as Emilie, Brett and Eric engage in a messy soda fight in the town center. When the Kids’ playful antics threaten to get out of control, DK steps in to stop anyone from getting seriously hurt. DK yells at Emilie and Brett, “This was just reckless and stupid, and it could have been avoided if you guys weren’t running around acting like a bunch of hyenas.” The Kids apologize to each other and promise to improve their behavior as a disappointed DK walks away.

The Council members admire DK’s continued efforts to “build a better Bonanza City,” and easily pick him as the recipient of the next Gold Star.
The Kids assemble for their next Town Hall Meeting and Jonathan asks Mike and Taylor how they feel to be off of the Council. The two former Council members’ responses couldn’t be more different. Mike willingly admits that he feels a bit sad about losing his power, while Taylor declares, “Now I can just work normal like just a boy or a girl here.” The TownsKids can’t help laughing in response. After a bit of prodding by DK and Laurel, Taylor admits that she didn’t do her job. The Town Hall explodes into bickering as many Kids vent about Taylor. When Taylor once again promises to “try” and do work, even ever-calm Michael shouts in frustration, “Stop trying to change! Change!” DK chides the Kids for ganging up on Taylor: “Y’all need to chill and stop being so mean. I’m serious. Y’all are disgusting me right now.” The Kids are then astounded when DK tearfully announces that he wants to go home, telling the others that he’s tired of the constant fighting. The TownsKids are in shock. Guylan takes DK outside and talks to him, insisting that the town won’t be the same if DK leaves. The Town Hall is filled with tension as the two boys return to the meeting. The other Council members worry that they’ll have to award the Gold Star to another Kid, while many Kids are crying at the thought of DK leaving. DK stands before the anxious crowd and announces that he’s going to stick it out in Bonanza City, “Some of you are some of the most beautiful people that I’ve met in my life. I’m willing to stay for you.” All of the Kids are relieved and then cheer when the Council announces that DK is the winner of the next Gold Star. DK is ecstatic and runs to the town phone booth to call his family.

The Kids celebrate in the Saloon after their difficult Town Hall meeting. Guylan gives DK a hug, telling him that he is glad he chose to stay. Guylan acknowledges the milestone that just passed as the Town continues to work together and stick it out, “United we stand, divided we fall.”

Dancing W/The Stars - Bye Bye Billionaire!!

So for tonights results show we will have JLo performing and a return of "The Star of the Dance". Hopefully the filler this week, will be interesting and not Jimmy Kimmel or Kenny Mayne.

First up is a recap of the previous nights show and a closer look into Maire's fall. I am glad they showed what happened when they cut to commercial because there were a lot of people on the ABC message board that were cutting the powers that be down for not reacting soon enough. First, how does anyone know how long it took for medical personnel to get to Marie.....WE WERE ON A COMMERCIAL! Second, I think ABC did the right thing by cutting to commerical. I know if I was Marie, I would not want them giving me medical treatment on TV. So for all you people out there that have been giving ABC a hardtime....HA.....who's the idiots now!

After we see that Marie gets the attention she needed, we see the she ever so graciously got up and first and foremost, bowed to the audience for their support and understanding. Class Act Marie!!
Next up is out encore dance and no surprise here, it's Mel and Maks. I could watch Maks all day and night......

Jennifer Lopez is next with her over the top stage singing "Do It Well". I was surprised to see how much JLo is showing in her pregnancy. She tries to hide it, but sorry Jennifer, it's noticable.

Our lovely audience gives us there two cents, which includes Heather Mills, Tori Spelling and Carol Brady...oops...Florence Henderson

Now comes our first game of "Who's safe", and low and behold it's the top two scoreers, Mel and Maks and Sabrina and Mark. Can you say Duh!!

This week Star of the Dance is Chris Perry....Who? I know, I don't know him either. But he and several other professionals give us a sneak peak at next weeks group number. They perform a high energy rock-n-roll number that to me had lots of swing in it. Good thing the judges won't be scoring this dance, because there were a lot of lifts and we know how Carrie Ann hates lifts.

Jennifer Lopez sings again to "Let's Get Loud". This time from the regular stage, so the real preofessionals can dance. We are treated to Alec and Edyta, Julianne and Derek, Cheryl and Mark Ballas and Karina and Maks. The only thing that ruined this was when JLo's dancers came out on stage to dance too. Personally I think it took away from the pro's.

Our filler piece is the professional talking about choreography. How and when they do it. Most of them wait until after the music is given to them before plannign the dance.

We learn that Cameron and Edyta are safe this week before the next commerical break.
After the commerical we get another filler piece where we learn about the stars and the juggling acts they are performing weekly with their careers. Seems like the only ones who aren't out on the road non-stop are Jane and Jennie.

Next up to learn their fate is Jennie and Derek and Kym and Mark. Safe to dance another week is Jennie and Derek. You could almost see Mark flinch when they said he was in the bottom two, as if he had a feeling.

After another commerical we come back with the final three couples waiting their fate. Marie and John are safe. Helio and Julianne are safe, which means that Jane and Tony are also in the bottom three.
Time for elimination....Mark and Kym are eliminated and you could tell he knew it, or at least felt it. during his wrap up interview with Tom, we learn that Mark has lost some 30 pounds during his training. Looking good Mark!!!!

So that's it for this week. Next week the stars will have to learn not only a solo dance, but also a fast paced group number. Let's hope Marie breathes next week!

The Bachelor - The Meltdown

Host Chris tells the six remaining women what's in store this week: two one on one dates and a group date. No roses will be handed out on any of them. At the end of the week, two women will be sent home and the four women left will be taking Brad home to meet their parents.

The first date box has arrived, just for for Bettina. "Let's have a romantic evening on the water," reads the note. Bettina is very excited for the date and is confident about the "physical chemistry" between them. There's a straw hat in the box and the other women advise Bettina that if they're in a boat and they go under a bridge, she should get a kiss.

DeAnna decides that Bettina's ploy is to trying to be the "mystery" woman, the one Brad can't figure out.

Brad, meanwhile, says he thinks Bettina has all the qualities he's looking for, and he hopes she'll relax around him, which is exactly what Bettina is hoping for. They arrive at a dock on the edge of the water, where a picnic is laid out by candlelight. She tells Brad the more she's around him, the more comfortable she feels with him and that he makes the whole thing easier.

Brad asks if she's dated since her divorce and she says just a little. She admits she's not proud of getting divorced but she wasn't going to go through life "just being okay." Brad says he sometimes wants to hug her and tell her she's more than okay. "I think you're drop dead gorgeous," he says and says he finds many things about her "perfect." "Are you for real?" she asks, and reaches out to touch him.

They take a nighttime gondola ride through the canals of Venice (California) and Bettina confesses she's nervous. He says he's looking for someone who's his best friend and also true love, where they both know it without having to say it, and she replies that's exactly what she wants too. When they go under a bridge, she says it means they have to kiss and he gives her a peck on the cheek. At the end of the night, Brad feels that he still doesn't really know who Bettina is, but he's going to be patient about it.

The second date box arrives with an invite for Jenni, Hillary, DeAnna and Kristy, who are invited to Brad's for a pool party, so Sheena is getting the second one on one date. Sheena is extra excited because this gives her a greater chance of being one of the four women to take Brad home to meet her family.

Kristy, Sheena and Hillary relax in the hot tub and discuss whether Bettina is now their biggest competition. None of them think Bettina is on the level when it comes to Brad.

The four women arrive at Brad's for the group date. All but Kristy do a cannonball into the pool. Kristy just sits on the side of the pool. She doesn't participate when they play touch football and won't go on the slip and slide, even when they encourage her to join them. DeAnna privately declares Kristy "no fun."

Hillary is so moved by the sight of Brad shirtless that she can't think of anything G rated to tell the camera about him! Alone with Brad, she tells him how much she enjoys spending time with him, and how she really hopes he gets to meet her family, especially her father. She puts him on the spot by asking him how he feels about her, right now. He responds that he finds her, "Beautiful, sweet, kind, sincere," but he wonders if what he feels for her is more like friendship.

Privately, she says she believes there is chemistry between them and she can tell by the way he looks at her.

Sheena opens her date box. The note reads, "Tonight, many treasures await you." Inside her box are white gloves, a heart shaped box and a silver clutch. Bettina watches her put on the gloves and behind her back, opines that Sheena's too young for marriage.

In his alone time with DeAnna, Brad says he's been thinking about her. She says she didn't sleep at all after their date the other night. They both want to kiss, but can't, because the other three are watching, so he just kisses her on the shoulder.

DeAnna takes it hard when Jenni and Brad walk out of sight for their alone time, since she knows that means that he's going to be kissing her, but Hillary is even more upset. She tearfully wonders why that isn't her with Brad right now.

Brad and Jenni lie in a hammock together and kiss and she says she never wants their time together to end. They rejoin the others and Brad toasts to "following all of our hearts." Brad is excited to get to know Sheena better, especially because she so impressed his brother, Chad. The other women all manage to smile happily for Sheena when Brad picks her up, all but Hillary, who looks like she might cry again.

Brad, who's dressed in jeans and flip flops, won't tell Sheena what's planned for tonight, but before he opens the door at their destination a hillside mansion he tells her he thinks she's the most deserving of this experience. They walk into a room where six mannequins are dressed in designer gowns and she gets to pick which one she wants to wear.

As Sheena chooses a dress, Brad changes into a suit and tie. She selects a strapless red gown and he looks blown away as he watches her walk down the stairs to join him. And then she trips on the last few steps! He hugs her and asks if she's okay and she laughs it off, but wonders if she's blown it.

Brad leads her out onto the deck, which is covered in white balloon. She hugs him in delight and promises she won't fall as they walk through the balloons to a table for two. Brad raises his champagne glass and tells her he feels like the luckiest guy in the world to be with her. He then presents her with a pair of heart shaped diamond earrings. She puts them on and he tells her she looks stunning.

He admits how much an impact Chad's opinion of her has had on him and asks her why she's still single. She says she's incredibly picky and he jokingly asks if she's going to "kick him to the curb." "Not at all!" she says. She adds that it's hard for her to open up to strangers, but assure him she doesn't think of him as a stranger.

He asks how it will go if she takes him to her hometown, and she promises her father will greet him with a smile and probably a hug. He wants to know how she feels about relocating to Austin. "As long as you're with the people that you love, you're home," she says.

After dinner, they walk down a candlelit path to where a small orchestra is playing and Brad asks her to dance. He tells her he likes that she's always smiling and then he kisses her. Later, Bettina says she's the luckiest woman in the world and that it's the best date of her whole life.

Back at the house, Hillary is depressed over Brad spending time with someone else. The other women are less emotional, but still moody. Bettina asks DeAnna if she's confident that Brad will keep her and she says she is.

Since it's their last night in the house, DeAnna, Jenni, Hillary, and Bettina play "beer pong" to break the tension, and DeAnna suggests that the losers get naked and jump in the pool. She and Jenni end up losing that challenge, so they strip and jump in together and soon Hillary joins them, even though she didn't lose!

Sheena returns, still wearing her red gown, and finds Jenni and Bettina waiting up. She tells them about the six dresses and shows off her earrings. Bettina is jealous, saying that it sounds so much better than her date, which, she declares she now considers "boring." She goes off to bed and Sheena tells Jenni that she would have loved a gondola ride and a picnic just as much. "She's not in it for the right reasons," whispers Jenni.

Brad says he's "freaking out" at having to decide whom to send home. At the cocktail party, Sheena is wearing her earrings again. Brad says how much he likes them and Bettina looks annoyed. Jenni smiles, but she admits it's tough, especially since she considers Sheena to be "a cool girl."

Alone with Brad on the balcony overlooking the pool, Sheena announces she's written a poem as a way to thank him for last night. After she reads it, he says he's speechless and asks to keep it. He asks her to join him in a quick dance, right here.

During their one on one time with DeAnna, he wants to know whether her feelings are real or if this is all happening too quickly. She admits it's scary and she might get hurt, but it's worth it. She also admits that he makes her nervous and that she normally never gets nervous. She says she wasn't going to kiss him with the other girls watching, but when he points out that no one is watching them now, she leans over and initiates a kiss, which Brad continues.

Back in the house, Jenni brings up the way Bettina spoke so badly of her date and says she would never say anything like that. Bettina insists she was only joking but Jenni looks unconvinced. She feels that Bettina is two different people, depending on whether she's with Brad or around "the girls." She hopes Brad gets to see the catty side of her the other women have seen.

Brad takes Bettina aside and tells her he thinks their date was "perfect." "I think so also," she says quickly. She tells him that she feels comfortable with him now and that she wants him to kiss her and that she wants "your hands on me." He says he doesn't expect anything from her, except for her to be herself.

While Bettina is off with Brad, DeAnna tells Jenni she hopes Brad is asking her if she had fun on their date3. Hillary hopes, as they all do, that Brad sees through her.

Brad worries how to tell Hillary that he considers her just a friend, when she's shown she just hears what she wants. He tells her he's going to "shoot straight" with her but when he says he thinks of a friend, she insists she feels the same way ... but also that she thinks he can be her lover as well. He lets her do the rest of the talking, since it's clear he hasn't gotten through to her at all. She is sure that he just can't tell her how he feels, given the circumstances.

It's time for the rose ceremony and there are only four roses to hand out.
Brad gives a rose to:
DeAnna
Jenni
Sheena
Bettina
Kristy and Hillary find themselves without a rose. Kristy admits she's hurt and doesn't know what went wrong. She's sorry that Brad didn't seem to want to get to know her better.

Hillary, who's been on the verge of tears during the whole rose ceremony, dries her eyes before hugging Brad goodbye. Outside, she cries so hard, she has trouble breathing. She begs the cameraman to leave her alone. Preparing to toast the remaining Bachelorettes, Brad hears Hillary crying and excuses himself to goes outside and comfort her. He asks if she's okay and she says she isn't. She wants to know why he's sending her home, saying she doesn't understand. He says he couldn't, in good conscience, meet her family when he wasn't sure if he could ever think of her as more than just a friend. She repeats how much she wanted him to meet her family and that she's really fallen for him. He tells her he's sorry and gives her one last hug. "I'll see you," he says, and goes back inside.

Hillary admits she's had her heart broken. And she believes that Bettina doesn't deserve to be in there. "She's playing a game with him," she sobs. "I wanted him to see her for who she is, and he didn't." She laments that Brad didn't fall for her before finally walking away from the camera.

It's Race Time!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that's right! It's race time and by that I mean, it's time for the return of The amazing Race. CBS announces that Amazing Race will begin on November 4th......

The Amazing Race 12 will replace Viva Laughlin, a new musical drama the network has canceled after just one poorly-rated broadcast in its regularly scheduled Sundays at 8PM ET/PT time period. CBS will air a repeat broadcast of CSI in the time period on October 28. "If there ever was a season that I consider one of the best, it's this one," said Bertram van Munster, The Amazing Race's executive producer and co-creator. "It's insanely funny, fast-paced and dramatic all at once. Teams are in hot pursuit of one another at every location and it's reality television at its nail-biting best."

CBS had renewed The Amazing Race for a twelfth edition in May, but announced the five-time Emmy-Award winning reality competition series wouldn't be part of its initial 2007-2008 primetime programming lineup and would instead air as midseason programming. This fall marked the first time in three years that The Amazing Race did not premiere as part of the network's initial fall schedule launch. The Amazing Race executive producer Jonathan Littman told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that the show's twelfth edition will run two episodes shorter and drop the course's non-elimination Pit Stops in an effort to "create more excitement." Non-elimination Pit Stops had been part of The Amazing Race since the reality competition series first premiered in Fall 2001.

Despite the format changes and initial delay in its premiere, Littman still sounded excited about the show's twelfth installment. "The countries are very exotic," Littman told reporters at the time. "We're going to a couple of places that I don't even know where they are on the map. I've had to go look them up... This is a tough group [of teams]. They'll be younger. We still have a good balance." According to CBS, the teams competing on The Amazing Race 12 -- which the network expects to unveil sometime in the next several days -- will travel approximately 50,000 miles during the competition. Five previously unvisited countries will be part of the twelfth edition, including Ireland, Lithuania and Croatia.

Dancing W/The Stars - Let's Get Ready To Rhumba

So tonight is Latin night with the Rhumba and Samba as the two dance choices. This is the night Tom Bergeron said there would be next to nothing as far as the costumes go and if you ever want to see a wardrobe malfunction tonight would be the night. So far, the costumes don't look too revealing, with the exception of Kym and Edyta. But with Edyta it's expected that she will show lots of skin. And with that body.....I don't blame her for showing it. I would!

First up is Marie and John with a Samba, a dance Marie is hoping will earn her 10's. Her costume was hideaous for her age and size. The music was too slow and unfortunatley her dance was sluggish. During Len's commenting on her dance, Marie takes a nose dive and hits the flow. She fainted and we cut to commercial. Upon return Tom tells us Marie is ok and in fact the first words out of her mouth when she woke up were "Oh Crap".......We don't get the benefit of the judges critic but her scores pretty much tell the story of what they would have said. She gets 7's across the board. I think she is more upset with fainting than she is with the scores.

Jane and Tony are next with our first Rhumba. This dance will be a good one for actors and actresses because they shoudl know how to play sexual. And she does. Her and Tony dance great. She is sexual without be trampy....still classy. She gets two 9's and an 8 for a total of 26.

Our first male of the night is Mark Cuban with his partner Kym Johnson doing the Samba. We get to see during their practice footage that Mark is more concerned with pleasing the fans than he is the judges and is able to convince Kym to put more cheese in their routine. I love Mark. He is taking this serious to a point. He is working hard to try to get the technical but still knows that the entertainment factor for the fans is important. Unfortunately for me, his dance was stiff and flat, although Mark managed to m ake it entertaining, it still wasn't that great.
Mark got 7's across the board.

Sabrina and Mark are next with a Rhumba. Sabrina got all tens last week and will now have a touhg road to travel for the rest of the time she is in the competition. I don't think she can get tens for the remainder of her time. That perfect score may come back to haunt her. During their practice footage, Mark's mom, Sally Ballas, comes in to give them tips on being sexual with each other. Can we say AWKWARD! Poor Sabrina....I would have been soooooooo embarrased. Their rhumba was great. Carrie Ann said she needed to work on her turns and Len didn't like all the tricks. She gets 2 9's and a 10 from Bruno for a 28.

Derek and Jennie get the Samba and Jennie looks to be wearing a Monique Coleman costume with an addition of a tail. The dress was pretty, but the tail needed to go. I thought their Samba was good, but apparently Carrie Ann and Bruno did not see anything special. Len however said they were wrong and it was better than they thought. Scores of 2 8's and a 9 give her a 25.

Our next Rhumba is Helio and Julianne. I would have thought this to be a great dance for our Latin racecar driver. But I was wrong. Helio was stiff and as the judges said, he was too mechanical. Two 8's and a 7 give him a 23.
Maks and Mel are next with a Samba. I could watch Maks all day....leave Mel in the back. Practice footage shows that Mel is fighting a cold and add to that they have to travel to London so she can shoot a video with the Spice Girls. Not much footage is shown fo the Spice Girls. They have a good Samba much to my disappointment. I'm sorry, I want Mel gone. Remember, I don't like her. She gets 2 10's and a 9 for a score of 29, the highest of the night.

Cameron and Edyta finish the night with a Rhumba. Again this should be somewhat easy what with Cameron being a day time soap actor and having bedroom eyes. Susan Lucci comes by practice to offer her two cents worth. I thought they did a very good routine, but unfortunately Carrie Ann again chastises them for a lift. There was no lift. I did not see Edyta's foot come off the floor, but if it did it could only have been for a split second. Two 9's and a 8 by Carrie Ann for a 26.

So tonight was a little bit of a let down for me. I expected more. Unfortunately Marie Osmond and Mark Cuban are in the bottom two as fare as judges scores. But as we saw last week, even those on top can fall. Anyone could go home.......

until tomorrow when we get to be entertained by the great J.Lo.........

Survivor China - It's Time To Shake Things Up

At Zhan Hu, the monotony of losing challenges takes its toll on a frustrated Frosti. “Fei Long is well led by Aaron. They’ve got the strongest player James, and some very intelligent people, so they’re a hard team to beat." As Peih-Gee gives the tribe a pep talk, Sherea, whose name came up at the previous night’s Tribal Council, begins to feel out of the loop. "I definitely feel like the outsider of the tribe because the four of them kinda clique-up sometimes. So I wanna spice things up. I want some drama or something going on. I’m really looking forward to something changing."

Growing closer to one another, Jaime and Erik share a tender moment in Zhan Hu’s own little Garden of Eden, where Erik reveals to Jaime he likes her. When she reciprocates the sentiment, Erik lays it all on the line by revealing his personal choice to remain a virgin. Respecting Erik’s beliefs, Jaime sees this intimate moment as a sign of a deeper level of trust, and she confides in Erik the secret of the hidden Immunity Idol. "The new word on the street is that there’s an Immunity Idol and Jaime wants to trust me with the information," says Erik. "I don’t know what’s going to happen with [our] relationship, but [Jaime] seems like a good all-around person to be aligned with now at this stage in the game."

At Fei Long, James and Denise form a silent bond as the two begin to respect one another’s hard work around camp. "Denise really does bust her ass out here. She’s a strong, good woman," explains James. "[Denise] is there to complement you and work with you. That’s attractive." Feeding off each other’s work ethic, Denise finds a strong ally in James. "I can trust [James] and know that I can stick with him and ride his coat tails as long as I can,"

Fei Long sits down to enjoy their morning shrimp stir-fry, courtesy of James, when a local fishing boat pulls ashore to deliver a message. Fei Long must select two Zhan Hu members whom they believe will be an asset to their tribe, circle those names on a parchment, and return the parchment to the local fishermen, who will retrieve their new tribe members. Fei Long deliberates, and quickly decides on Frosti and Sherea, whom they see as Zhan Hu’s strongest members. Realizing that Zhan Hu might have to pick two members from Fei Long, Jean-Robert states, “If Zhan Hu receives a similar letter, Zhan Hu’s top picks will most likely be James and Aaron."

Back at Zhan Hu, the tribe is ecstatic. They think the message means they are gaining two members from Fei Long and not losing any members, putting the numbers in their favor. They eagerly circle James’ and Aaron’s names on the parchment without a second thought. "Zhan Hu and Fei Long just flipped! We’re now 7-5 instead of 5-7, and we have a huge advantage!" exclaims an excited Frosti. "We have all the strongest players, so it’s looking really good for us."

Later, when the local fishing boat returns to camp, Zhan Hu rushes to greet their new tribe members. But the boat is empty, save for the fishermen and a new message. Frosti unfolds the parchment, revealing their new fate: he and Sherea will depart the Zhan Hu camp immediately and join their new tribe, Fei Long. "It never crossed my mind that they were going to take two of us," Sherea says, shaking her head in disgust. "We’re just like, 'Oh we get to have two strong people.’ We didn’t think about it at all. That was really dumb." As Sherea wipes tears from her cheek, Frosti says goodbye and reminds Peih-Gee, Jaime and Erik that by choosing James and Aaron from Fei Long, Zhan Hu will have control of the two strongest players in the game. Climbing onto the fishing boat, Frosti and Sherea wave goodbye to Zhan Hu as the familiar shoreline disappears.

Yelling in anguish, Aaron reads the new message delivered by the fishermen, finding Fei Long’s worst fears realized. Zhan Hu has chosen James and Aaron to join their ranks. Packing his bags and saying goodbye to his old tribe, James looks towards his future in the game. "I don’t have any ties to Aaron going over to Zhan Hu. I’m pretty much by myself now, starting all over again," explains a nervous James. "I’m going to have to work my way into the system again." As the fishing boat pulls away with James and Aaron, Jean-Robert attempts to keep the tribe unified and calls an impromptu meeting to lobby against their new members, Frosti and Sherea. "Todd and Courtney and Amanda, who knows? They may just decide ‘Oh let’s get rid of Jean-Robert,’" worries Jean-Robert. "Today’s a terrible day for Fei Long and today’s a god awful day for Jean-Robert."

The new Zhan Hu tribe enjoys a basket of food given to them upon James and Aaron’s arrival. As introductions ensue, James takes the opportunity to press upon Zhan Hu the magnitude of winning in the upcoming challenge. Aaron, concerned with the numbers disadvantage he now faces, explains, "[James and I] are going in with only two people and [Zhan Hu] has three, so it is a cause for some apprehension on my part." Observing the new tribe dynamics, Peih-Gee smiles as the wheels turn in her head. "We have control over [Fei Long’s] two strongest guys right now in the game," exclaims Peih-Gee. "It’s a major advantage with what we choose to do with it."

Gathered around the fire and enjoying their basket of food as well as each other’s company, both Frosti and Sherea worry about their position in the game and are eager to find their place in the tribe. Bright and early the next morning, Jean-Robert wakes before the rest of Fei Long to start the fire and cook breakfast. But as he asks the rest of the drowsy tribe for help around camp, they scoff at him and, unbeknownst to him, attack his character to each other. Both Frosti and Sherea are overjoyed with the clear dissention in camp. "Waking up to everybody bashing Jean-Robert was better than the food we got the night before," says a relieved Frosti. "To me, that just makes me so much more comfortable knowing that there’s somebody here that they already have problems with. So it looks like Jean-Robert’s in a bit of a pinch."

Attempting to navigate his way into the inner workings of the three original Zhan Hu members, Aaron paints James as the biggest threat in the game. "This is Zhan Hu, this is my new tribe," explains Aaron. "That was a subtle card I played just to save my butt, just in case we lose Immunity." Suspicious of Aaron’s crafty ways, Peih-Gee quickly pulls Jaime aside to discuss the future of their game. Running the numbers with a possible merge in mind, Peih-Gee and Jaime toy with the possibility of throwing the next Immunity challenge in hopes of getting rid of either James or Aaron, thus saving Frosti and Sherea in the process and preserving their numbers in the game.

The new tribes convene for the Immunity Challenge, where Jeff Probst explains the rules. Two members of each tribe will swim out to a platform. Alternating turns, those two will dive into the water where they will find a cage with twelve Chinese zodiac disks attached to the cage. They must release those disks by removing as many bamboo sticks as possible before resurfacing. After stacking all twelve disks in the tribe boat, they must swim back to shore, pulling the boat and the disks with them. Once back to shore, the three remaining tribemates must complete a puzzle by matching each disk to its corresponding spot on the board, locking them into place. First tribe to correctly arrange all twelve disks wins Immunity.
Fei Long’s Frosti and Jean-Robert swim out to the platform, and are neck-and-neck with Zhan Hu’s Erik and Aaron. Exhausted as they dive over and over again to free the disks, the tribes are dead even. Waiting at shore to work on the puzzle, James scolds Jaime and Peih-Gee for laughing and playing around instead of concentrating on the job at hand. Having collected all twelve disks, Zhan Hu gains a bit of a lead as Aaron and Erik pull their loaded boat ashore first. Jean-Robert and Frosti soon reach shore with Fei Long’s disks, where the awaiting Todd, Denise and Sherea race to catch up and solve their puzzle. In the midst of the challenge, Jaime grabs a yellow Zhan Hu piece and tosses it behind the Zhan Hu puzzle board, undetected and out of sight. Barely able to hide their guilty smiles, Jaime and Peih-Gee continue to have trouble with the puzzle to James’ horror and frustration. Todd, Denise and Sherea hustle to finish Fei Long’s puzzle first and win Immunity.

Back at camp, the performance by Jaime and Peih-Gee at the Immunity Challenge is brought into question, as James rips into Peih-Gee for her lack of concentration. Jaime and Peih-Gee hurry out of camp to burst into a fit of giggles. "I’m not babysitting a bunch of children. Them girls about to go thirsty because I just can’t support people that just don’t try," complains James, frustrated with his new tribe. "They might as well send me home." When the suspicious Erik confronts the girls, they confess to throwing the challenge. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Erik sees no other option but to continue to trust in his alliance with Jaime. "I don’t like losing, especially on purpose," says Erik, "but I want to remain in an alliance with Jaime just because it’s safe, for now at least."

With Tribal Council looming, Jaime, Erik and Peih-Gee weigh the pros and cons of voting out James versus Aaron. "Originally we had agreed that the first one to go was going to be Aaron from the get-go, and we thought that we might be able to get James onto our side," explains Peih-Gee. "I think after what happened today, [James] doesn’t trust us at all, which means tonight at Tribal Council, we probably will have to get rid of James."

At Tribal Council, Jaime boldly admits to throwing the Immunity Challenge, taking Aaron and James by surprise. Peih-Gee comes to Jaime’s defense, explaining that should there be a merge, Fei Long would have the numbers. So by throwing the challenge, the original Zhan Hu members have a fighting chance. Unable to see losing as a way of winning, James has had enough and tells the tribe to send him home, as he can’t work with a tribe that condones losing. In the end, though, it is Aaron’s possible alliances back at Fei Long that prove a greater threat, and he receives three of the five votes, becoming the fifth person voted out of Survivor China.

Before departing Tribal Council, Jeff Probst tells Zhan Hu: "Erik, Peih-Gee and Jaime, you three are making a very strategic move. If your assumptions hold true, it could be a good play. If your assumptions are wrong, could be in trouble."
