Survivor - Fans vs Favorites - "I Am No Longer The Dumbest Survivor in History"

So I am two weeks behind on writing my thoughts on Survivor....sue me. I have been busy and just have not had the time to sit and write my thoughts. So bare with me while I tell you what I thought about last week and about last night.

First - last week:

When the episode began I thought I would not like this weeks show. I did not want it to be chicks to the end. I think there needs to be a mix in order to maintain the dynamics of the show. An all girls final may not be as boring as a all guys final since girls will be more evil and back stabbing than guys. Don't go throw daggers at me. I can say this because if you don't already know I am a female. So I know how us females behave.

I was most upset by the fact that James had to leave due to another medical emergency. This Survivor has produced some firsts that is for sure:

1. 3 people leave the game without being voted out (2 with medical emergencies)
2. 2 dumbasses have the hidden immunity idols, have a feeling they should use it and don't
4. blindsides - how many now 5 (Ozzie, Jason, James, Eric, Alexis)

James has no luck that is for sure. Hopefully if there is ever another All-Stars he will have another chance, or maybe if there is a fan favorite vote this year, James will win it. Of course I would not be upset if Ozzie was to win a fan favorite vote either.

So last week, the black widows targeted James first, but he was an easy out with his hurt finger. So the next target was Amanda because they know they can't beat her in the end. Being the smart person she is she volunteered to go to Exile. She needed to find that idol. She looked and looked, dug and dug and found out the idol was hidden back at camp. Upon returning from Exile, she made another smart move in showing everyone her bags and that she did not have the idol. So the plan was in motion to oust Amanda. However Amanda dug some more and was able to retrieve the HII. At tribal that night, it was apparent that Amanda was going. Parvati was the only one that was not voting Amanda. Her and Amanda were voting out Alexis. So when it came time to reveal the votes, Amanda stood up, gave Jiffy the HII and saved herself. I have to say I was ROTF LMAO. That was great TV there!!! Big ole Louisiana "GEAUX AMANDA"!!! She is my new Survivor hero just for the fact of seeing the look on Natalie's face. Does this woman ever smile or does she always look evil.
Last night begins and right off the bat the talk is to oust Erik. Of course this will leave nothing but women on the island. I can't understand why in the world Natalie would not try to keep Erik to levelthe fans/favorites playing field. But she apparently thinks she can beat Amanda and Parvati and Cirie in the end. We know she can not and will not beat Amanda.

Reward this week is a massage and good place to sleep. It is questions and answers about past Survivors. Erik proves what a SuperFan he is and wins and proceeds to choose Amanda. He tells the others that they each promised the other to take them if they won reward. Of course you know this did not sit well with Natalie....what does sit well with Natalie.
So off to reward they go, while Parvati goes to Exile. I find it funny that Parvati thought nothing of looking for the newly hidden idol but instead took the time she had to sunbath and do nothing. Why would she not try for the idol just in case? She is just a little too secure. I think she thinks everyone else thinks they can win against her since she turned on her alliance. Probably smart thinking. That is if the jury votes personal. If they vote for the person that Outplayed, Outlasted and Outwitted everyone else, then Parvati takes the top prize.

Back on the island for immunity challenge. And the women are hell bent on not letting Erik win. This challenge is a resurrected challenge from a previous Survivor. Line up the ropes and where they cross dig for puzzle pieces. Erik gets out to a commanding lead and never relinquishes that lead. So he wins immuity and the girls plan looks like it is up in smoke and they will have to start eating their own. Wait a minute....what's this, someone has the brilliant idea to try to convince Erik to give up the immunity necklace. Cirie says that Natalie has to convince him. Tell him they will vote out Amanda. Cirie says do what you have to with your mouth to get him to change his mind.....hmmmmm. Can you say innuendo! Maybe we don't see all the good stuff on tv....lol!

So Natalie starts to spin her web of lies to Erik telling him he needs to redeem himself to the jury. If he gives her immunity, the jury will look at it as a good thing, him, her and Cirie will vote out Amanda and tada....they go to final four. He actually looks like he is considering this. I think...WHAT....and then say "nah, no one is that dumb".

So it's off to tribal council we go and it's good to see that James is not hooked up to an iv and is doing better. The undertone of the tribal council questions and responses is based solely around the girls convincing Erik to "redeem" himself and give Natalie the immunity necklace. I still did not think he would fall for this line of hooey....but was I wrong. The big dork gives her the necklace and the jury about falls out of their seats with laughter.....as do I.
Voting takes place and as the votes are read, poor little Erik sits there with fingers crossed that the girls did not double cross him. Sorry Erik, you were a fool. You were played worse than James last year and worse than Ozzie and Jason could ever be played. Amid all the laughter we hear James "I Am Not The Dumbest Survivor Anymore"!!! That's right James.....you now have a slew of people that have joined you in the Hall of Shame for Survivor blunders, but you most definatley are not the dumbest Survivor anymore.

What was this kid thinking? He is just that naive? Is it because his brain is always frozen from scooping ice cream and because his brain melted due to the heat on the island, it was mush. Come on.....first rule of Survivor: YOU DON'T GIVE AWAY IMMUNITY!!!!! What an idiot. So now I have changed my mind. These four women deserve to be in the final four. Although I still wish James and or Ozzie was there, the four black widows worked hard to get to where they are. YOU GO GIRLS!!!

My thoughts on the upcoming finale are that Natalie is gone, unless she wins immunity. But I think it will be a Favs Finale Three and I think Amanda will take it home. Here is how I see the votes going with Amanda, Cirie and Parv in final three:

Amanda: James, Ozzie, Eliza and Jason

Cirie: Erik

Parvati: Natalie and Alexis

I guess that pretty much wraps it up. I will try to be back on Monday and give you a final season wrap up, but don't count on it until maybe Tuesday.

until then when the tribe will have spoken for good......

Survivor Fans vs Favorites - "Black Widow"

So from the previews I am not liking the turn this Survivor is making. First let me tell you, I am all woman, so I am sure some of you will be surprised when I say I don't want Woman Power to control the island. A chick fest I do not want Survivor to become. Of course that could be because now I only have James to root for since my beloved Ozzie is gone :-(

But unfortunately it looks like the girls do have the power and the guys are going to go down 1,2,3, unless the guys keep winning immunity. This reminds me of Big Brother which is currently in it's last 4 days and is nothing more than a testoserone fest. The final two houseguests are both men who do nothing more than gloat about their victory. At least if there was a woman there, maybe there would be some action. I have to say, I am a live feed watcher of Big Brother but not so much right now. Watching Ryan and Adam walk about and talk all day about being Masters of their Universe does not turn me on. Ok, I went off a little there on another topic but that is just another reason I don't want a chick fest on Survivor.
And thanks Survivor editors for reminding me that Ozzie got the shaft last week. Parvati, I hope you suffer for what you did.

Back on the island the girls plan is to get Jason back on Exile Island where he can find the rehidden idol and then convince him to not use it and blindside him. Sounds like a pretty decent plan, if it works. Parvati and Cirie finally pull Amanda in to this chick group and explain why they did not tell her about the Ozzie blindside. The three of them agree to go to final 3.....and we know just how well Parvati and Cirie stand by their word. Be very careful Amanda. Amanda is my second choice to win, after James. Hopefully she will get in with the women just to keep herself safe but still try as much as possible to be loyal to James.

I love it when James tells Parvati that things will be awkward between them because of her betrayal. He tells her she should not have taken a bite of the apple. Go James....tell it like it is.

Reward challenge this week is the infamous Survivor auction for food and other goodies. One new added twist this year with the auction.....no sharing of food or money. First bite of food goes to Cirie who gets hot dog and fries. Next item goes to Natalie.......bat soup.....LMAO. I call it "just desserts". She passes but James sees no point in letting food go to waste. He asks Jeff if he can have it and Jiffy says "hey, free food"....

Eric wins the next food item of nachos with all the fixins. Amanda goes all out for a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich with milk. Next is Natalie who gets a bottle, with a note. The note says she can send anyone to Exile Island and she gets all their money. Her plan is in motion. She sends Jason to Exile, even though he pleaded not to go. She gets his money and bids on the next item which is a big chocolate cake which she can share with 3 people. She chooses Cirie, Parvati and Alexis. They have 1 minute to eat what they can and they proceed to literally stuff their faces. After that, the auction is over and it'a back to camp we go.

Over at Exile, you knew that Jason would find the idol and find he did. So step two of Natalie's plan is now complete. It is at this point that my dislike for Natalie grows immensly. And give the girl some food please. She is looking very very bad, Nicole Ritchie bad. Back at camp the girls discuss fooling Jason when he comes back in telling him that the intended vote off is James. This will enable them to vote off Jason and thus getting rid of a threat and the idol....again.

It's immuity challenge time and this one is played in stages. First stage is throwing rocks to bust tiles. First four advance.....Jason, James, Eric and Amanda. The "black widows" are nervous what with Jason advancing.

Next step is digging up a key to untie some puzzle pieces. Once the puzzle pieces are untied, you must assemble them to make a wheel to be used as a crank to turn to lower some planks. First two will go on to the next round. Poor Amanda digs and digs and can't find her key. James jumps out to an early lead, with Eric and Jason not far behind. But in the end it's James and Eric that advance to the final round. Step three of the girls plan of Jason not winning immunity is complete. Maybe these girls aren't such airheads afterall.

The final stage of the challenge has James and Eric using their planks to get across a pool of water. They only have two planks to use on a rope bridge. James strategy of standing up and going sideways doesn't work and he falls in and has to start over. This gives Eric the lead but not for long as James is hot on his heals. The last obstacle is a "disc" walk. They have to walk across a disc and rope bridge to the finsh line. James makes a gallant effort but to no avail. Eric wins immunity and on his birthday. Happy Birthday Eric.

Back at camp and the "black widow women" take a chance and sneak a peak in Jason's bag and find out he does indeed have the idol. So they lay it on thick when he returns and let him know that James is who they are targeting. They are hoping Jason does not use the idol and he will join Ozzie and James from last season in the Hall of Shame.

It's tribal council time and I love it when Ozzie walks in and flips everyone off. Or maybe he was just flipping Parvati off. Nah....at this point he is not sure who backstabbed him. But it won't be long before he finds out who did it. James gets to speak and he point blank lets Eliz and Ozzie know that Paravati took a bite of the apple and firmly planted the knife in Ozzie's back. I rewinded this part a couple times just to see Parvati's face in knowing she has no chance in hell at the million dollars now and to also see Ozzie mouth the word bitch to her. Good tv there!!!!

Not a whole lot else happened at tribal as the "bww's" didn't want to say too much so they could insure Jason's departure. The vote comes down to a close one. James votes for Parvati.....James receives 3 votes and Jason enters the Hall of Shame with 4 votes used. That poor hidden immunity idol gets to go back to Exile for another shot at being used. I felt sorry for Jason a little bit in that he was played by that vile evil Natalie. But then again I am glad he is gone because he was instrumental in getting my beloved Ozzie off the island.
The next couple weeks should be interesting. I hope The Powers That Be figure out a way to keep James and Eric around for a while longer and make the black widows turn on each other. Problem is Amanda is low girl on the totem pole and if it comes down to a chick winning this, I want Amanda. So let's hope somehow James or Amanda gets the hidden idol and the other one wins immunity the next couple weeks and the balance of power shifts. Otherwise this Survivor will become one big drama filled chick fest.
and in case you are wondering what life is like when you are voted off the island, check out these videos of Life At The Ponderosa:

until next week.........

Survivor Fans vs Favorites - "But Can You Trust Them"

So for this episode we have previews that lead us to believe that James will no longer be the dumbest Survivor in history. Someone will do something that is even more bonehead than James not playing one of his two immunity idols last time around. Will it be Jason, Ozzy maybe one of the girls, who knows. You will once the show is over.

The show begins with the fallout from Eliza's surprise elimination. The girls can't believe how smug she was thinking she had the idol, but in fact it was just a stick. I for one enoyed that episode because I never liked Eliza...she was a sneaky snake.

The dawn of the next day brings us quickly to the reward challenge. Wow, no wasted filler here. For the reward of getting to go to the most civilized place on Micronesia, the Survivors have to work their way thru a net obstacle out in the water to a platform. On the platform is a set of picture tiles. They must memorize them and swim back and arrange another set of tiles on another board in the same order. First team to get it right wins reward. Oh yeah, forgot to tell you this is a team challenge. Two teams of 4, and since there are 9 people, one person will not play and will got to Exile. A school yard pick is how the teams are choosen and to my delight, Cirie goes to Exile....woohoo. In case you can't tell, I don't like Cirie....never have. Wonder how she became a favorite. I at this point, hope it rains like hell while she is at Exile.

So the challenge moves along with everyone taking there turn at swimming out and studying the pattern and trying to recreate it. Team Ozzie (which consists of Ozzie, Eric, Jason and Amanda) are the victors. And off they go on a plane ride to the remote little town of Yap where they are met by some villagers and are treated to a feast. Eric embraces the experience and takes it all in trying everything. Good to see someone really enjoy this. Tis a shame he enoyed it a bit too much and ended up sick that night.

We get to see Cirie miserable on Exile what with the downpour of rain and the loudest thunder she has ever heard.....yyyyaaaayyyyy!!!!!! She is not able to keep the fire lit so therefor I am sure she has nothing to eat.....woohoo!!! Can you tell that I don't like her...no, not yet....just wait.

The next day is immunity challenge time and we see it is basically a recycled challenge from some Survivor before. They will be standing on a stump with one arm above them. That arm is chained to a rope and the rope goes up to a big barrell which contains water in it. Object of the game, don't move your arm. If you do and the barrell tips over and the water comes out, your out. You just know the temptations will be coming out before long. First one is gummy candies and this one is enough for Cirie and Eric to decide to split. Stupid Stupid Stupid....if you are gonna give up immunity, do it for more than gummy candy ***rolls eyes***

Natalie is out next with no temptation in site. She apparently lost her concentration and fell off the stump.

Jeff comes out with the next temptation and before he can even say what it is, Alexis pulls her chain only to find out she did not get the choc chip cookies and milk. Again stupid stupid stupid.....is immunity really worth so little. Bring on the hamburger, pizza or beer please.

James is the next out all due to lack of concentration. No temptation or anything. Come on guys, you know you have to be still for this challenge. Any little movement and your out.

Next temptation is 3 chocolate covered donuts and Ozzie wastes no time in yanking his chain and getting soaked. I still think this is not enough to drop out for. At this point Ozzie seems a little too comfortable.

Amanda drops out because she has to go to the bathroom....lol. We see her take off for parts unknown in the jungle to relieve herself. And at this point we are left with Jason and Parvati....yuck, puke, yuck. After, oh I don't know 6 hours, Jeff comes out with a tray of an assortment of stuff......donuts, chocolate bars, pizza, milk, beer and who knows what else. He says whomever gets down will get to share it with the others but not the winner of immunity. Parvati tries to get Jason to step down as do the others who have been eliminated. They go so far as to tell Jason they will not vote him out. Every one of them tell him this, but alas we see some crossed fingers. Jiffy is surprised that Jason is stupid enough to fall for this. He even asks Jason, "but can you trust them". So after a little bit, Jason takes the bait and pulls his chain. What a bonehead move.....or is it.

Later, back at camp it looks to be a sure thing that everyone is going back on their word to Jason and will be voting him out. That is until Cirie (bitch) hatches this plan to oust Ozzie. Oh how I hate Cirie. She manages to pull Jason, Alexis and Natalie over and convince them to vote out Ozzie. All they need is a 5th and guess who comes along. Parvati. Cirie tells Parvati what they plan to do. My hope at this time is that Parvati will grow a brain and not turn on Ozzie. Ozzie, James, Eric and Amanda are still planning to vote out Jason and they think Parvati is with them. James seems to be the only one of the group that is really on to Parvati and this "girl power" trip she is on.

At tribal council it is apparent it is Jason that is going, but then you see this cryptic little smile on that bitches face, so I know right then that Parvati is the swing vote. Which alliance will she stay loyal too. The one that got her this far or the one that will get her no where. Votes are cast and Jiffy is asking for the immunity idol. It is at this point in the show I am no longer sitting down. I am pacing the floor and I keep repeating "play the idol Ozzie", "play the idol"...."play the idol Ozzie", "play the idol".......he doesn't. So the votes are cast and it comes down to a 4 to 4 tie. The moment of truth....Did Parvati betray Ozzie......yes the other bitch did. And it is at this time that Ozzie is unfortunately inducted in to the Bonehead Decisions Hall of Shame, along with James.

I am at this point almost in tears as I watch Ozzie's torch being snuffed out. I love it when Ozzie makes one last look at the Survivors as if to say, you got me now but I will have the last word.

I loved Ozzie's good-bye confessional. He tells the camera that those that turned on him he does not like, or did he say hates. And f'them. Way to say what you think Ozzie.

I am really bummed at this point, because I was rooting for Ozzie and James all the way. Now I am down to my hometown dude, James. But he has to step it up and win some immunities or he will be out next week. If this comes down to a chick flick, I think I will puke. I hope somehow James is able to get Cirie and then Parvati out.....in that order. I want Cirie out next.......She kicked out the one of the two pieces of eye candy on the show....time for her to it the road.

Until next week........

Survivor - Fans vs Favorites - "It's Just A Stick"

Hello again! It's been a while since I have had time to sit down and write about Survivor because Big Brother, among other things, has consumed all my spare time. But after last nights episode, I felt like it was time to share my thoughts on this season.

Let's go back a ways to when Jonathon had to exit the game. I, for one, was sad to see Jonathon go. I have always liked him. He was sneaky and schemed with the best of them and it was sad to see Jonathon have to exit in the way he did. He really did not get a chance to get down and dirty with his scheming. But I am glad he got the medical treatment necessary and is getting better. Maybe we will see him again when there is another AllStars!!

Chet - what can I say about Chet except his time on the island was way too long. He should have been one of the first to go. What was he thinking in auditioning to be on Survivor. He does not look like he could survive on a pig farm much less a deserted island with no food, shelter or comforts of home. I thought these "Ultimate Fans" would know to get out the weak and keep the strong until you merge. What were these idiots thinking in getting rid of Joel and Mikey before Chet. Sorry Chet, I am sure you are probably a nice guy in the real world, but in Survivor land you were out of your league.

Kathy, crazy lady as they called her, proved that she did indeed deserve that name. Another person that is probably sweet and kind in the real world but was in way over her head. And another one that should have been long gone and would never have lost her mind on the island if she had been sent home earlier. She definatley was the Ultimate Fan though as she was star struck upon seeing and spending time with our Favorites. Can you say loco!!

As for last week, Ami getting booted. I saw this one coming a couple episodes before hand. Once Jonathon was out, Ami had no one. Sure there was Eliza, but we all know Eliza will go whichever way the wind blows. And Ami should know she had no chance against the all mighty Ozzy!! If Ozzy plays his cards right, he could just go all the way.

So now we are to last nights episode, where the all mightly merge takes place. You knew it was coming, so there was no surprise here. Of course with the merge comes the food celebration. Sorry to say, but no amount of lack of food would get me to eat a bat, as James did. I just don't think I would ever be that hungry. Did you see all the alcohol they got. There were numerous bottles of wine and plenty of beer. Funny thing is we never saw them drinking much or the after effects. But there was lots of joy that came with the merger and some anger. Seems like Parvati was elated to see Amanda again and proceeds to tell Amanda that she made an alliance with Alexis and Natalie for the four of them to stick together. This does not sit well with Amanda who now has second thoughts about re-aligning with Parvati. Who does Parvati thinks she is by making deals for Amanda. Looks like Parvati is getting a little too big headed. If I was Amanda I would work swiftly and see that Parvati is booted.

The merge also lets Eliza know that she is a dead man or woman walking. Seems like the only person she is connected to is Jason. You know Jason, the one that found the fake immuity idol that Ozzy made. Poor Eliza, she is on an island all by her lonesome with just Jason to lean on. Me thinks Eliza's days are numbered. Also with the merge we see a new budding relationship in Ozzy and Alexis, which does not sit well with Amanda. I was shocked to see just how much Alexis was throwing herself at Ozzy and equally shocked to see him respond. Be careful Ozzy, a jealous woman is a dangerous thing!!!

We get to the immunity challenge and of course Jiffy informs us that tribe immunity is no longer and it's every man or woman for him or her self. He unveils the individual immunity necklace. I like this one. Probably the only individual immunity necklace I have liked. It's pretty with the seashells on it. I know I know, I'm being too girlie here...sue me.

This challenge looks like it is tailored made for Ozzy. Or at least for a show down between Ozzy and his ultimate fan Jason. The players are all placed underwater with only a portion of their heads sticking out. They have a metal grate over them. Rules of the challenge are simple...stay afloat as the tide comes in and your air supply slowly goes away. Looks like this will be a guys challenge as the woman fall starting with Amanda. Parvati, Alexis, Cirie, Natalie and Eliza all fallow suit and are eliminated. Erik bails shortly after Eliza leving only James, Jason and Ozzy. Each of these have developed a diffferent way of breathing underwater by making breathing tubes with their hands. James bails next after giving it a good try. It's down to Jason and Ozzy as I had first predicted when I saw the challenge. My gut tells me Ozzy will win this one only because he has been known to be able to stay underwater for long periods at a time. But surprizingly Ozzy starts having trouble as his "breathing tube" begins to fail. We see him go underwater and back up. Then underwater again. At this point I am thinking, ok Ozzy just stay underwater for the rest of the time. But apparently Ozzy just could not regain his composure and he too had to bail, giving immunity to Jason. I just about died. Of all people to have immunity. And with that immunity came a great big ole head. Why....well he just beat Ozzy, one of the best physical players ever in Survivor. I cringe knowing that for the remainder of Jason's stay on the island and for eternity thereafter, we would have to hear about how the mighty Jason had beat Ozzy.

Back at camp Eliza gets wind (via evesdropping) that she is the target for this weeks boot and she goes into action cornering Jason for the immunity idol he found on Exile Island. In case I forgot the mention Jason said if he won immunity at the challenge he would give Eliza his idol to save her. Their plan is to both vote for Ozzy while the rest vote for Eliza. She plays the idol and Ozzy goes home. Sounds like a great plan and if it goes down as planned would be the biggest blindside in Survivor history. Jason fetches the idol from his hiding place and gives it to Eliza. Once she is alone she takes a peak and is shocked to find a stick with a sickly looking face carved in it. Knowing the powers that be at Survivor would never use something so plain and simple, she takes off looking for Jason. I don't know about you but if I was sitting there watching Eliza stalking around I would for sure think something is up. So Eliza finds Jason conveniently alone on the beach and asks him what he is trying to pull. She apparently thought maybe Jason was trying to double cross her. Good idea but not one I think Jason could have thought of on his own. She tells him that the idol he has given her is not the idol, "It's Just a Stick". He says no it's the idol. She doesn't believe there is any way that stick could be the idol but both agree she should play it at tribal just in case the powers that be at Survivor decided to play a trick on them.

At tribal council Alexis is first up and is revealed to be a triple threat - mental threat, physical threat and social threat. She apparently excels in all areas. Eliza is next with to be honest I don't remember what she said because Parvati jumps in and attacks Eliza calling her out for at the beginning of the game wanting to get Parvati out and then when the merge happened wanting to be buddy buddy with Parvati. Eliza looks like a deer in headlights and her only response is hey you should keep me around to the end as no one likes me and you could beat me easily. Was nice to hear James chime in that Eliza is liked, although not true, it was nice to see James being his good ole southern gentleman again. But you know what, Eliza is right. Keep her to the end and you will win against her. Did I say that.....I don't like Eliza and have wanted her gone from the beginning. I can't believe I said she should be kept to the end. Someone call me a shrink, I think I have what Kathy had!!

It's time for voting and we only see Eliza's vote of Ozzy. Jiffy asks if anyone has the hidden immunity idol to show it now or forever keep it hidden....or something like that. Eliza proudly gets up and hands Jeff the stick in paper all the while we see Ozzy cracking up laughing. I have to say I busted out laughing and had to rewind and watch that scene a couple times. Seriously folks this was funny as hell. Jeff proceeds to tell us the rules of the hidden immunity idol which states that if the person who uses the idol is the highest vote getter then the next highest vote getter will be the one that leaves. After Jeff tells the rules, he then reveals that the "stick" that Eliza presented is not the hidden immunity idol, to which Eliza then reveals that Ozzy has the idol and he planted this one. Ozzy, laughing pretty much the whole time apologizes half heartedly for not telling them. At this time Jiffy proceeds to throw the fake idol in the fire to which Ozzy says "Come on Jeff, that took hours to make".....I fall off my chair laughing. No surprise Eliza is voted out by a vote of 8-2 and her torch is snuffed. She becomes the first member of the jury and has successfully turned everyone's attention to Ozzy. As we see in the previews of the next show the girls think it is time to get rid of Ozzy and his idol. I think it's time for Ozzy to step it up and start winning immunity.

I have to say this was by far the funniest episode of Survivor I think I have ever watched. I just don't remember laughing so much. Thanks to the editing team for making me laugh and smile instead of wanting to throw my remote at the tv. For once I did not have to scream at the tv and my daughter only thought I was a little crazy. She's wrong though....I am a lot crazy.

Got a comment, come on you know you do. Just hit that little comment button right down in that corner and tell me what you think.

Until next time........

Survivor - Fans vs Favorites - Cirie Is In Charge

I finally got around to watching the episode of when YauMan was voted off. Let me start out by saying how much I love Jeff Probst, our little Jiffy. He cracks me up and his sarcasm is too funny. If Jiffy ever decides to stop hosting Survivor, then Survivor will end. There is nobody else that can take his place and still provide us with the entertainment he does.

Now on to the show, the reward challenge was brutal. I saw several hits that had to hurt. It hurt me just watching it. James showed his strength during this challenge. I had to crack up laughing when he just barrelled into a crowd of fans and took them all out. He is a brute and he showed it in full force during this competition. Jonathan really stepped up and from the onset the Fans were doomed.

Exile Island proved to be a brutal experience for Kathy and Ami. They were soaked with rain, as was the Fans tribe with no adequate shelter, but alas because of the reward win the Favorites were high and dry during what had to be one of the worst rain storms since they got there.

As for the immunity challenge, this appeared to be nothing more than who is the strongest. But of course accuracy came into play because you had to get the coconuts in the basket. This looked like an easy challenge for our Favorites, what with James and Jonathon helping in holding the basket up. But it wasn't long until accuracy was the key element in this challenge as the Fans were getting more coconuts into the Favorties basket and it wasn't long before the Favs were struggling. The Fans won this one hands down and the Favs go to Tribal Council.

The alliance of Yau, Jonathan, Ami and Eliza have their sights set on Parvati. The couples alliance, specifically Ozzy, Amanda and Parvarti, decide to go after Yau and do some heavy campaigning against Yau to Cirie and for some reason with Ami and Eliza. Jonathan's name was also brought up as a secondary bootee, but because his ears were undoubtly burning, the conversation stopped as soon as he walked up. I, for the life of me can not understand why if the couples alliance knows the other 4 (Yao, Jonathan, Ami and Eliza) are together they would talk to Ami and Eliza about voting off one of their own. Am I missing something here.

Something I did not know was happening is an apparent alliance between Ozzy and Jonathon who were caught discussing who to vote out, specifically Ozzy wants Eliza out. Another alliance member for the couples that floored me was their fifth, Ami. It is apparent that there are many alliances working within the main two alliances. Looks like Ami is working both sides, or at least putting up a good act of working both allainces. Oh what a tangled web......

At tribal council, Jiffy probes our Favs about their loss at the Immunity Challenge and how it made them feel. Duh, Jeff! Cirie gives up the most information when she says she is playing not for the tribe but for herself, thereby letting Jonathan know she is not voting his way. Cirie needs to learn to keep her mouth shut, she gives up way to information including that Jonathan's alliance is planning to vote off Parvati. In the end the couples alliance win out and our beloved Yau-Man is sent packing. Look for the small sub-allainces to take over now, as Jonathan will be scrambling. If the Favs lose the next immunity, he is a goner for sure.

I will be back soon w ith my take on this weeks Survivor and will try to not be so late in getting my comments up.

Survivor Fans vs Favorites - Episode Two

So episode two begins of course with a recap to remind us that Johnny Fairplay has left the island. I am not sure how I really feel about this. Although I don't like Fairplay, I think he could have brought some good drama to the show and created some problems. As a possible fifth for the two 4-people alliances that are already in place, he could have potentially been a power player. Now Cirie has the power.

This week, in celebration of Valentine's Day, we get our first peek at love in bloom. James is digging himself another hole and looks to be on the path to making another huge blunder in the game by messing with Parvati. I know she is smoking hot, but didn't he learn anything in China. She is stringing him along and will flip as soon as she has to. I can hear Parvati now..."hey diddle diddle, let me play James like a fiddle".

As for Ozzy and Amanda, they are the first couple (this season) to make out. Some heavy petting and passionate kisses take place at night when they think no one is watching. But unbeknowst to them Cirie and Jonathon have caught then swapping spit. This will prove to be Ozzy's undoing for sure. And I say Ozzy because he is so strong in comps that he will be the one that is choosen to go first over Amanda.

The fans seem to be having difficulty getting their island life together. No fire, no food, no water and a half ass shelter. As they try to work together to get shelter, it seems like everyone wants to talk at the same time. This only causes more confusion and you quickly see the tribe split, 7 to 3, with the three being Kathy, Chet and Tracey. However the three work together and get a pretty decent shelter built while the 7 decide to clean out the "cave" so they can sleep there. Only problem I see is the cave does not look like it would be big enough for 2 let alone 7. Finally the 7 come to their senses (after they see the shelter the 3 built) and finally decide to ask for help to get another shelter built. They finally get fire going and are able to get water boiled.

This week the immunity challenge and reward challenge are one in the same. Reward is fishing stuff and a fishing boat. Winner gets to choose someone from the losing team to go to Exile island. There is also another twist that they learn once the challenge is over and that is the winning team also has to choose someone from their own team to go to Exile island. Two people will be exiled and there is one idol on the island. That should prove interesting.

The challenge involves 5 people running over "lilly" pads in the water to a platform then diving off and swimming to another platform where they will have to climb up to another platform (too many platforms). From their they will jump out and try to bust a hanging tile which will release a key. they have to retrieve the key and swim back in. One team member will collect the keys from the 5 swimmers. Once all keys have been retrieved, the "key master" will use the keys to unlock a trunk that has puzzle pieces in it. Then 3 "puzzle makers" will solve the puzzle. First team to correctly solve the puzzle, which is a map of Micronesia wins.

Ozzy is first out of the gate and gets a commanding lead for the Favs. But the Fans stay strong....that is until Chet can't find the key after he busts the tile. Looks like the Favs have this one in the bag but then the Fans make a good comeback, but it's a little too late. The Favs win immunity and reward. They choose Kathy from the Fans tribe to go to Exile Island and Cirie from their tribe. So off they go in search of the hidden immunity idol at Exile. The clue they received leads them to another clue, which leads them to another clue and another clue. Funny thing is the clues lead them back and forth from island to island. Their final clue instructs them to go back where they began....lol. We never find out if they find the idol, but my guess is no.

The next day is tribal council day for the Fans and Kathy returns to her tribe. It looks like Chet may be the one to go. Mikey seems to have figured out all the angles in case Kathy found another idol. The only thing Mikey hasn't figured out is that he is getting too close to Mary and The Hulk sees this and hatches a plan to get Mary out thereby crushing Mikey and taking out his biggest ally. As we get to tribal council it appears this will be a total blindside for Mary. Mikey and Mary have no clue and instead think Chet will be leaving. So Mary is voted out and Mikey is left there stunned. Jeff was pretty surprised to and leaves us with this quote....First Tribal Council, First Blindside. Next weeks challenge looks like it is going to be brutal....we see the Survivors all made up with war paint and atacking each other.

All in all a good episode. I just so wish James would come out of the Parvati fog and not make the biggest mistake you can make in this game. If you are gonna fool around on the island don't get caught. You can not show that you are getting too close to someone this early on in the game. Same goes for Ozzy...wake up dude. Jonathan seems to be playing a better game this time around. As for the Fans, I am still not there yet with them. I have no favorite, but if I had to choose I would say Mikey, but that is a bad choice because he will be out soon. I hope The Hulk (can not remember his name) goes soon.

Well that't my take on things. Care to share your opinions:

Survivor - Fans vs Favorites - Episode One

You know, I have been eargerly anticipating the start of this season's Survivor. I kept thinking how great it would be to see Ozzy, James, Yau-Man and Jonathon again. How each of these deserved another chance. But I have to say I was let down. It wasn't as great of a first episode as I thought it would be. Maybe because it seemed like it went by so fast. Were there more commericals last night or what. As I am sitting there watching it with my dauther, when it was over, she looked at me and said "that's it...it's over". I had the same feeling - "that's it". Ho hum.

For future Survivors I think they should make the first episode a two-hour one. Being that you have the first 8-10 minutes of the show taken up by our beloved Jiffy riding high in the helicopter telling us what we are in for and then the introductions of the players while they paddle (in this case, while they were being paddled) to their first destination, and then all the commericals they have, it doesn't leave much time for acual action.

(**Please note, my article will be a mix of show recap and mu personal opinions mixed in**)

So like I said, as usual the show starts out typical with Jeff doing his infamous helicopter ride over the area. Let stop right here and say they are in an absolutely beautiful location. Both my daughter and I were amazed at how beautiful the water is. Could end up being our next vacation spot...lol

The fans are shown first while they are being rowed into shore. Looks like a motley crew to me.....lol. Next up is the Favs and of course Johnny "Fairplay" gives us the first sound bite when he tells us he thinks he is the greatest player in survivor history - in your mind maybe! Yau-Man tells us the only reason to play a second time is for the million dollars. Sorry Yau-man that would be the only reason I would play the first or second time. James says he feels like a fan not a fav because he is in awe of Ozzy and Yau-Man. Awww.....still as humble as ever. Don't you love him. Go James!!!

As the fans reach the beach in the pouring rain we learn that for Jason, this is a life dream, to be able to Survive in the wild. Tracey tells us that finally seeing Jiffy makes this surreal. (***by this time I am rolling my eyes***). Jeff finally reveals who they will be playing against - their favorite players from seasons past. As the favs are introduced to applause, Joel says he is excited to see James and thinks James was the biggest and strongest player in survivor history....until this season (**I am again rolling my eyes, but this time I add a hearty laugh to go with it**). Yau-Man gets the biggest applause of all. They save Fairplay for last and Jiffy introduces him as the most infamous player in Survivor history. Johnny comes out wearing a baseball cap that says "Will lie 4 food"....hahahahahah

The players are told they will have to walk or swim across to the other island to get to the respective boats. And he tells them there are two special hidden immunity idols waiting for them. These idols are only able to be used at the first tribal council that your tribe attends. After that they are worthless, at least to the Survivors. They will end up on EBAY where the $$$ that someone pays for them will go to Pediatric Aids Foundation.

Tribe Names - Airai for the fans Malakal for the favs

As everyone reaches the island and starts wandering around looking for an idol, Johnny Fairplay finds the first one tied to the front of one of the boats. Too bad he found the one tied to the fans boat and when he realizes it he is caught in a tussle with Yau-Man who has seen the idol tied to the favs boat and makes a mad dash to get it. Yau-Man wins out and knocks little Fairplay down and gets the idol. Yau then tells Kathy, of the fans, to pick up the idol that Fairplay threw away. Johnny does what he does best now....whine about what a big bully Yau-Man is!

When we come back from commerical Mikey of the fans lets us in on some of the players and his nicknames for them. I had to mention this because I thought he hit the nail on the head and I laughed:
Kathy - this is a crazy woman who got the idol courtesy fo Yau-Man - he calls her Big Bird
Joel - you know the one who thinks he is bigger and stronger than James - he calls him Incredible Hulk
Chet - the token gay guy - he calls him Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
Erik - he calls him Jon Bon Jovi in his prime...lol
Alexis - Southern Princess is what he calls her.....

Big Bird, Kathy, shows her ignorance right off the bat when she asks Chet if it's ok to call him gay and says "it doesn't mean you want to be a girl does it". OMG...this woman is a nut case for sure. She can't get over the fact that she is thisclose to a gay guy because she says she has never met one. Chet fires back with "not that you knwo of" comment.....LMAO!!!!

We go back to see that the favs are all working together and putting there previous Survivor skills to work getting shelter done. This is the advantage they have over the fans. Johnny Fairplay tells his tribe that he found a message in a bottle that said that his grandmother had died. Over at the fans campsite, we see they are having a tough time with shelter and when nighttime comes they are still shelterless and fighting the pouring rain.

Parvarti didn't learn from the first time around and continues with her flirting, this time with James. And we see that the second couple that was mentioned pre-show is Ozzy and Amanda. I hope these guys wise up and see that they are being used but from previews and spoilers, they won't be thinking with their minds. Will James make another huge blunder and fall under Parvarti's spell.....I hope not!

The first alliance is born with Jonathon, Amy, Yau-Man and Eliza. Since they already notice the closeness of the couples they feel the need to get a 5th and for some reason they look at Fairplay. Where is Cirie. Amanda and Ozzy pull Johnny Fairplay aside and try to pull him in to be their 5th as well and tell him they will be voting out Elize. Of course Fairplay goes along with this in front of them but then we see him spilling all to the other 4 person alliance. For some reason these 4 also believe Johnny and get him to agree to be in their group. What??? Did any of these people watch Fairplay during his Survivor stint. Don't they know he is the biggest con artist out there. He says it best right before commerical when he says" It's an insane thing, there are 9 other favorite survivors of all time and they all believe what I am saying. Have they not watched before". My thoughts exactly Johnny!

The favs get fire first with Yau-Man using his glasses and the sun.

As they all arrive to the first immunity challenge, Jiffy gets "DeJaVu" feelings. When asked how they are faring, Eliza gloats and runs her mouth about how they have the bigger advantage and they are living high. Eating and drinking and having fun. Someone needs to shut her up.

The immunity challenge consists of taking puzzle pieces and puting them together to make 4 wheels which will go on a cart. The cart must then be pushed, while carrying two players, thru some obstacles to a sand pit where they will have to dig up planks to finish a bridge that they will have to cross to get to the finish line. At the finish line they must dismantle the wheels and place the puzzle pieces in the correct slots on a turnstile. After that they must turn the turnstile to raise a lit cauldron which will ignite a bigger fire. First to do this wins immunity.

The fans get off to a great start by working together on their wheel making puzzle pieces. The favs however don't seem to know what the hell they are doing. Fans finish wheel making first and head out on the obstacle course. They reach the sand pit and start digging for their planks to make the bridge they have to cross, complete. The favs finally finish their wheels and take off thru the obstacle course and then wipe out by hitting a tree. Looks like Eliza may have hit her head. I wonder if it knocked some sense in her...lol
The fans end up winning and I wasn't really that disappointed especially when I saw the favs give up when they realized they would not win. I thought we had a group of favs that would never give up. That disappointed me more than them not winning.

Back to the beaches and this is where we realize that Fairplay has a soft spot in his heart. I never thought I would be saying those words. He says he can't stop thinking about his girlfriend and his expected daughter. He tells Parvarti and Amy (separately) that he wants to go home. Amy is skeptical - at least she is showing some smarts.

At tribal council, Jeff asks Johnny how it was when they first got to camp. He says it was "cake", easy but they were over confidant. Eliza is asked if their past reputations will be a big factor and Eliza says of course, everyone will remember the things you did on past Survivors. Jeff tells Fairplay that no one in this game has a bigger reputation than him, which he agrees to but then says that the other favs were all surprised by the real Fairplay and they all trust him. He says he can not stop thinking about his little girl and wonders if he is a bad father for being here. Jeff makes mention that he is not a father yet. All the while Yau-Man is smiling wondering what Fairplay schemes is.

Jeff asks Johnny if he is quitting and Johnny says no, but his head is mixed up and his mind his not there.

It's voting time and Yau-Man chooses to keep his one use idol. As voting takes place, no votes are shown other than Yau-Man and Jonathon who each vote for Fairplay. Yau-Man says that if Johnny needs parenting advice he will be glad to help him.

Fairplay is voted out and we see that everyone voted for him with he voting for Ozzy. As he leaves he gives Jeff a hug and tells the other to treat Jeff right. I have to wonder here just how much Johnny Fairplay was paid to appear on the show. You know they are paying them and I suspect he is getting paid even more. I hate tribal councils where it is so obvious who is going home. Can't they edit this better to make it a little more suspenseful.

Previews let us in to the fact that the couples (Parvarti/James and Ozzy/Amanda) heat things up. We see P/J snuggling at night and we see O/A getting into some hot and heavy kissing. Note to the guys, think with your brain in your head not with the brain between your legs.

So that's it folks. I wasn't impressed like I said in the beginning. I hope things heat up next week and we get to see more of the Survivor we love. And hopefully we will get more Fan time so we can learn more of who they are. I am pulling for James, Ozzy, Jonathon and Yau-Man, in that order, on the Favs tribe. I have no favorite on the Fans tribe, but Mikey seems like he might be a good one to pull for. I will give you my Fan favorite after next week show.

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 12

You're A Rat.We relive the merge, the party, the vomiting, and the careful planning of Aitu in order to overcome their numbers deficit. We watch as Nate goes down the walk of shame and then proceeds to carry on about what a horrible person Jonathan is. There are 8 tribe members left. It is night 27.Jonathan explains to Candace on the way back to camp that he had to do what he did because it would have been him leaving tonight if he hadn't. He still may go the next week, but in order to stay, he was forced into voting the way he did. Yul and Sundra are relieved that Jonathan actually did what he promised and the vote came down as planned. Parvati is quick to tell Jonathan that she is disappointed and that he is vile and that it makes her feel sick to her stomach. Jonathan tries again to explain that the vote would have bounced off Yul (because of the immunity idol) and he would have gone home. Parvati rolls her eyes and says, "Yul does not have the immunity idol."Jonathan says, "Yul DOES have the immunity idol, he showed it to me." They stare at him blankly. It's obvious that Candace, Adam and Parvati do not believe him. He says that it's obvious they don't trust him and they admit it. He's a dirty miserable rat.My Scott thinks that the reason that everyone is so hard on Jonathan is that he sounds exactly like Alan Alda in those movie rolls where he is a shifty snide character. If you close your eyes when he talks, you can actually see Alan Alda speaking his words. Whatever the reason, Parvati, Adam and Candace are furious with him, and in reality, what he has said is true....he really had no choice but to flip again.

Survivor - Thanksgiving Night

Why Would You Trust Me?Oh that gnarly little bottle. This week's revisit to last week's episode starts with that little bottle with its innocent looking little note. Of course, we know now that it wasn't so innocent and resulted in Jenny being sent home in a double eviction from the Raro tribe following Rebecca down the path of shame. The tribes now stand at 5 to 4, advantage Raro. Adam and Candace have reconnected, Aitu is hammering Raro on all of the challenges and apparently still holds a grudge against Candace for her mutiny. Jonathan has to feel like he has dodged a cannon ball at this point.Raro, Day 25. Jonathan is up early, fishing. He has found that the fish are more active and available in the morning. He still isn't sure about his position in the tribe but he knows that three people have gone home before he and Candace and he's still the main source of food, fire and general work as the rest are not exactly gung ho on the work ethic thing. The young people like to sleep in. Jonathan may be getting a little cocky though as he starts in saying that the tribe is going to have to start paying attention to him. This doesn't sit well at all with Nate who still feels Jonathan is an outsider. Jonathan is still talking too much to Candace, discussing his feelings about how the tribe is supposed to work.I gotta say that the new comedy with Ben Stiller, Night at the Museum, looks really funny. The Ellen Degeneres commercial for American Express is too cute, it really is.But back to the jungle. Aitu is feeling good about their performance but Yul is in some pain. He says that the challenges are taking a toll on him. Sundra has a nasty knee wound. She says they are still the underdogs and must prove themselves each and every day, all the time. They are surprised to arrive at the next challenge and see the new Raro down two members. Jeff points out that if Aitu had lost, the tribes would be 7 to 2.

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 10

People That You Like Want to See You SufferOnce again in the recap section, we are reminded how Jonathan and Candace, the two white members of Aitu betrayed their tribe to join Raro. We then get to relive the joyous irony of Aitu kicking butt on both reward and immunity challenges. Brad is the first member of the jury.Jonathan is working himself to death trying to solidify his place in the Raro tribe. He realizes he has made the game much harder for himself but he hopes it turns out to be a good thing. Adam and Candace are reconnecting in a big way. She feels she has been separated by the time on exile island but she trusts Adam because he looks at her with that "I want you even if you stink and can braid your armpits" look. Jenny is concerned about Candace, because she is depending on the Nate, Adam, Rebecca, Parvati, Jenny alliance to keep her going. Parvati says that Candace and Adam are like the all American couple, whatever that means. Jenny feels that Candace could make Adam falter, and she's right. Adam is having long talks and hand holding sessions with Candace talking about how they trust each other and he actually kisses her wounds to make them better. Yes, I said HE KISSES HER WOUNDS TO MAKE THEM BETTER. Aitu, Day 22. Ozzy says that they are in a deep hole, but that he is totally happy being the underdog tribe. Tree mail is a code, a nautical flag code with letters represented by flag patterns. They immediately start cramming and working as a team, each of them memorizing the letters of code.Reward Challenge

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 9

MutinyAs usual, we rehash last weeks episode and see Jessica sent packing. Jonathan seems to be under the assumption that he is running the tribe. He even talks as "we are really doing well", "we are in a good place". He kind of lays out what he thinks is the boot order, indicating that Ozzy would be the next to go if they lose an immunity challenge before the merge. Candace doesn't really want to keep with the six after the merge because she is anxious to rejoin Adam and Parvati, her friends from her original tribe. She doesn't seem to be as tight with Jonathan as Jonathan seems to believe.Heavy metaphor time as a spider is weaving a huge web.Candace talks to Jonathan and tells him that she may want to flop alliances if she has the opportunity to be with Adam and Parvati. Jonathan says he has trusted Candace all along and he plans to be with her at the end. She nods politely as if this is her thought as well, but she admits later that she really doesn't have any strong ties to Jonathan and would like to see him go because he seems to only care about what will advance himself further in the game.In the Raro camp, the tribe is also talking about the merge. They are all saying how they will stick together. Then Brad comments that after the merge it's "every man for himself". What he thought was just an offhand comment makes eagle ears Nate angry. He says he no longer trusts Brad since he thinks it's "every man for himself." Of course, we survivor fans know that after the merge, it's really every man for himself, but apparently saying that is an outrage. Parvati jumps on the comment as well, saying it's not an individual game yet. Jenny says they need to still be a team.
