house design unveiled!

Mirror, mirror on the wall: Instead of last year's fire-and-ice theme, this season's house has a 'fractured fairy tale' quality.

Claustrophobia alert! This two-sizes-too-small room has five beds that are only 5 feet long and is filled with low-to-the-ground child-size chairs 'Essentially [they'll be] living in a dollhouse,' says Grodner.

The lavish blue bathroom could become the cool new hangout, if the houseguests can ignore the lion-shaped water spouts in the shower.

Like Alice in Wonderland's tea party, this season's house has a giant spinning teacup, and perhaps as a nod to Alice's sequel Through the Looking Glass, there's a big outdoor chessboard. Hmm, maybe that explains all those mirrors in the house, too....

The front and backyards have some gorgeous topiaries and flowers, which Grodner compares to 'an English garden meets Edward Scissorhands.'

The backyard has the same basic layout, with a hot tub, pool, hammock and exercise equipment to keep the houseguests happy. We can't wait for the July 5 premiere to see what the house looks like with people in it!

rumored house design

according to a poster on www.realitybbq.com's forum who was right with the house design last year ...

We had a walk through of the house last week.

It has an Alice in Wonderland theme. The colors are pastel and very bright. This house will pop! The bug room is now a room for "big people" and through a small door is a room for "little people". The Love/Hate room is now "The Harem". The back yard is filled with animal shaped bushes. The wall upstairs's wallpaper is a summer northeastern forest.

It was all quite beautiful.

hell's kitchen - i miss my recapper!

my friend and hell's kitchen recapper is on vacation so i was going to do the recap but i've never seen the show before and i got a phone call 15 minutes in and missed the rest so here's the official recap from the official site.

"Bonnie consoles Jen, who feels bad about her spaghetti incident. “I lost my sense of judgment being in this competition,” Jen explains. Yet Vinnie keeps harping on how it was wrong to pull food from the garbage, which makes Jen feel even worse.

The next day, Chef Ramsay lines up the chefs and explains that they are not tasting their dishes. Perhaps they need help in that area? The next challenge will be to test their palettes. One by one they are blindfolded and given three foods to recognize by taste. Julia and Brad are up first. She easily spots American cheese, but Brad doesn’t. They both know fried chicken, but neither can pick out a plain, boiled carrot.

Melissa and Rock step up to the plate. He beats her on hard boiled egg yolk, but they are both stumped by venison. Next are Bonnie and Josh. At first she tells Chef that she can hear him through the earphones. They are fixed to make her unable to hear Chef describe each food. Bonnie beats Josh on both bak choi and pear. The women are leading the men 5-3. It’s down to Vinnie and Jen. He doesn’t know seared tuna, so the girls win automatically.

Chef determines that the boys need help on their palettes, so they will be doing all prep in both kitchens for that night’s dinner service. Withdrawing to the dorms, the men are convinced that Bonnie could still hear through the earphones as Chef Ramsay said the name of each food item. Vinnie confronts Bonnie, who maintains that she didn’t cheat.

As the girls drive toward their reward lunch with Chef, Bonnie is appalled that she was accused of cheating. She thinks it’s the men being bitter losers. Back at Hell’s Kitchen, the men are forced to eat strange foods as part of their punishment to educate their palettes. Sous Chef Scott lays out plates of pickled palm leaf, grass jelly, cream herring, pickled herring, calves liver, trotters, pig tongue and cow tongue. The Blue Team begrudgingly digs in to their disgusting meals. Rock sweats profusely throughout the lunch, but he refuses to throw up.

On a different note, the Red Team meets Chef Ramsay at a restaurant called Opaque where they will be dining in the dark in order to taste their meals without seeing them. The girls start to get flirty with Chef when the lights are out. After lunch, they return to the dorms for some relaxation time since they don’t have to prep for dinner service. The men exhaustedly chop for both kitchens.

Before the restaurant opens, Chef explains that the customers’ comment cards will determine the fate of who wins the contest. Josh quickly delivers his risotto appetizers, but Chef Ramsay and Sous Chef Scott stop to taste them. His plates are undercooked.

Meanwhile in the Red kitchen, Julia overcooks her scallops and has to start over. Yet Melissa’s risotto is already completed. Chef chides Melissa for not being a team player when the other chefs are not on the same timeframe as her. She tries to rally her team’s appetizers together.

On the Blue side, Chef notices that Josh is standing around with nothing to do. He reprimands Rock for not giving him the scallops to handle. Thanks to Rock’s efforts, the men get their appetizers served and move onto entrees. Yet Vinnie has overcooked his Beef Wellingtons and needs another fifteen minutes to make four more.

Bonnie is having the same problems with her entrees except that her chicken is raw. Chef loses his patience and yells at her for lying. Two hours into dinner, the women have served fourteen entrees while the men have only served six. The customers complain to Jean Phillipe and one woman approaches Chef in the kitchen. He is not happy and calls the customer a “giraffe.”

Vinnie tries to flash grill rare Wellingtons in the oven to make them appear medium. Yet Chef and Scott catch him doing this. Chef Ramsay finds Vinnie has also made raw pastry on the Wellingtons and he accuses Vinnie of not caring. So far, Vinnie has thrown out six Wellingtons and one chicken.

Bonnie tries to get her Beef Wellingtons in order, but she becomes confused. One comes out raw and one is medium. Melissa tries to help her but they don’t remember the timing of the oven. Neither of them knows how to answer Chef. While the women have served 28 entrees, the men catch up with 21. This advancement is short-lived when Jean Phillipe brings back a too-salty fish and an undercooked spaghetti from the Blue Team.

Chef Ramsay gathers both teams and threatens to shut the entire kitchen down if more food comes back. Bonnie is still having problems reconciling times for the chicken and Beef Wellingtons to come out at the same time. Chef doesn’t approve of the chicken she finally delivers. Then Jean Phillipe brings back another chicken returned to the Blue kitchen. Chef is furious and closes the kitchen.

In a corner, Bonnie sobs to her teammates that she’s not cut out for a restaurant. Rock complains that his team panicked when they only had to finish entrees.

After the comment cards are turned in, Chef reports that the customers enjoyed the majority of the food served. Unfortunately, over 65% of them won’t ever return because the food took too long to get to the table. “Your restaurant would fail with those numbers,” Chef explains. There will be no winning team.

Since Chef felt that Rock was solid, he asks him to nominate one person from his team who was problematic. Chef doesn’t make the same offer to Melissa because she wasn’t up to par. He has Jen pick out a teammate because she was the best of the worst. Rock tells Jen that he knows exactly who to select. Vinnie assumes it will be him. Bonnie is sure that Jen will pick her too. Yet Jen loves Bonnie and doesn’t want to see her go.

Rock announces to Chef Ramsay that he has nominated Josh because he believes Josh has maxed out his potential. Rock doesn’t feel he is an asset. Jen says that she has chosen Melissa because her leadership qualities were not on display. “I’m disappointed with both of you,” Chef says. He overrules them, and selects Bonnie and Vinnie as the two up for elimination.

Vinnie says that he had his head so far up his ass during service that he has no idea what Josh’s faults were in the kitchen. Yet he says he should be permitted to stay because he is the most qualified to run the restaurant in Las Vegas. Chef asks Vinnie to show some humility and admit that he was oblivious about the Wellington.

Bonnie admits that she was surprised that Jen didn’t nominate her. Yet she says that she has more to learn when it comes to service even though she excels at prep with her teammates. Chef Ramsay picks Vinnie as the one to leave Hell’s Kitchen. “I can’t go any further with you,” Chef says. “You’ve peaked.” Vinnie turns in his jacket and leaves, blaming the vast expanse between his experience and Chef Ramsay’s as the reason he was let go.

Bonnie still wants to be a chef, but isn’t sure if she’s meant to be one. Josh now knows that Rock wants him out. “Bottom line with Vinnie is, he’s a crap cook,” Chef Ramsay snaps."

'Brother' bigger than ever - Show is a ratings success for CBS

source www.variety.com

CBS is hoping you won't be able to escape the shadow of "Big Brother."

Eye's unscripted summer staple returns for its eighth season next month, with another dozen or so contestants set to lock themselves in a house for up to three months in order to make a run at a $500,000 prize. Despite the show's age, the network has big plans to make "Brother" more omnipresent than ever.

"The show has always been kind of ubiquitous, even before it became cool to do that," says CBS reality and new media programming guru Ghen Maynard. "This year, there are going to be some new things that make the show even more ubiquitous and interactive."

Indeed, well before "multiplatform" became a mantra for the nets -- think all those NBC on-air plugs for the "Heroes" online comicbook -- "Brother" was pioneering the idea that TV and the Internet could feed off each other. Since launching in 2000 as an adaptation of Endemol's international smash, viewers have been able to watch the activities of the show's "houseguests" unfold in real time via a live, streaming feed that's blasted around the world.

But now that just about every show on TV has some sort of web component, CBS knows it has to open many more windows to keep "Brother" as big as it can be.

The most striking innovation announced so far is a plan to simulcast three hours of the live Internet feed to CBS sister cabler Showtime 2 each night during the show's roughly three-month run.

Eye is also expanding its cellphone offerings, giving auds a chance to keep track of the goings-on inside the house via text messages.

And, while "Brother" has from time to time let viewers make some key decisions, Grodner and Maynard hinted the show plans to significantly increase the play-along-at-home component.

"This year, there will be something die-hard fans will love," Grodner hints. "It will give them the opportunity to participate even more than they have in the past."

Grodner says the always-on aspect of "Brother" -- "You can now take us to the beach with your cellphone," she laughs -- makes the show stand out from the summer reality glut.

"It's not just about sitting down and watching television," she says. "We're a summer event that's always with you. I don't think any other show has that sort of reach."

Ratings for "Brother" remain strong, with the show generally giving the Eye some of its best demo numbers of the summer. Its real value to CBS, however, is the younger, passionate and media-savvy base of viewers the show brings to the network.

"It's about buzz," Maynard says. "It takes a very loyal audience to watch a show three times a week. That's a big deal."

Such audience engagement, as Madison Avenue folks are fond of describing it, should be particularly important this summer, as the Eye tries to promote a fall sked marked by significant creative leaps., such as "Viva Laughlin" and "Moonlight."

But while CBS and "Brother" exec producers Grodner and Rich Meehan are anxious to make the show as culturally virulent as possible, Maynard cautions that good storytelling remains at the heart of the "Brother" mission.

"It's important to make sure you don't betray the vision of the show," he says. "If you do too many tricks and stunts, you betray that."

Housecalls and No Marci?????

Can it really be true....will there be no Marcellas on Housecalls this Summer. Well it looks that way or at least maybe partly that way. Below is what Marcellas has to say on the subject:

Alas it is time to make a statement. Due to budget cuts @ CBS Interactive, a format change & my increasingly busy TV and fashion career, I will not be returning as day to day host of House Calls. House Calls was created 4 years ago with me in mind. It is a show that I am tremendously proud to have been a part of. I not only hosted it but helped to produce it. As a part of the Big Brother, family I am honored to have worked on it and have been so closely identified with it. On a more personal note House Calls gave me something amazing, a friend, the brilliant and talented Gretchen Massey. Some of the best times I have ever had on set were during House Calls. I am a fan of the show and shall continue to be a part of it, as well as Big Brother, in any way possible. The producers know that they can call on me any time, day or night and I'm there to help. I look forward to watching my girl Gretchen do her thing and also to an amazing new season of Big Brother. Thank you to all the fans who have supported me and to the producers of House Calls and Big Brother who have helped me so much in my career. Please keep an eye out for me this summer and especially this fall. I am all over the place. From MTV to vh1 to E! to the Style Network. I'm working and truly blessed. Smooches!_________________M* www.marcellasreynolds.com

Somebody Call an Ambulance - Hell's Kitchen!!!

I don't know about you but when I see an ambulance at a resturant, I tend to not want to eat at that resturant, if you know what I mean. The previews for tonight's show made us think we would have a really good show.....and we did!

The show opens with a recap of the women’s episode of victory, Aaron’s tears, and the dumb blonde joke. And we are reminded that Eddie is history. After Eddie’s dismissal the cooks go back to the dorms. Josh is upset because Rock nominated him. Josh informs us that he is stepping up the game. Josh aren’t you the one who has made smart cracks about Ramsey. In my book you already have three strikes. Rock and Josh have a talk and Rock tries to point out that Josh isn’t necessary a leader. Josh declares war. The women, on the other hand, seem more than willing to rest and congratulate each other. Julia stays up looking at the recipe book because she knows she needs all the help she can get. She falls asleep reading while the rest of the women are tucked up in bed.5:58, reveille blows. Aaron wakes up with cramps (this guy needs to go). One of the girls is caught in the shower. The military go all over the dorms and order the would-be chefs downstairs. Of course, Vinnie has an opinion about the military. Doesn’t he respect anyone!. Aaron has to have help getting dressed – Rock won’t leave him behind.

Top Chef is Cooking Again!!!

Well it's that time of year again folks....Top Chef time that is.

Top Chef didn't waste any time on formalities in its super-sized season premiere. The contestants all gathered at the home of the late Versace to mix and mingle, have some food and spirits and get to know each other. Or so they thought.....The newest contestants were surprised with a Quickfire Challenge that demanded the preparation of an amuse bouche. Something that told Tom and Padma a little bit about their culinary personality. All of the chefs rose to the challenge, but Chef Tom found the taste and story behind Micah's morsel the most appetizing. I have to say I was happy when Hung did not win the Quickfire. He is a season 3 version of Marcel from Season 2. One I surely will not like and will love when he gets booted off.

It's Hot In Hell!!!!

After the brutal drubbing by Chef Ramsay, both teams hang out in the living quarters to rehash what happened during the dinner service. Aaron is concerned that he is the weakest link on his team. Everyone finally goes to bed in the wee hours of the night, only to be woken by sous chefs Scott and MaryAnn bright and early the next morning. The contestants are sent to the restaurant where Chef Ramsay lambastes them for wasting copious amounts of food the night before. The punishment? They are going to have to catch their own fish. He leads them outside. Instead of handing them fishing poles, he calls for a truck door to open, which reveals fish on a bed of ice. Fish mongers toss the carcasses of Dover sole at the contestants who must catch the fish in mid-air and fill their assigned buckets. They carry the load into the kitchen.Chef Ramsay lines the teams up to challenge them to a fish-cleaning contest. Aaron starts sobbing and complaining that he is dizzy. Chef sends him to take a time-out. Chef then goes on to explain how to clean the Dover sole. The skin must be peeled without damaging the flesh and the roe must be squeezed out. The team who perfectly cleans the most sole in thirty minutes wins the challenge. Josh is confident that this will be an easy task.

Big Brother 8.....After Dark

Big Brother will be even more omnipresent than usual this summer, with the long-running reality show's three-nights-a-week CBS broadcast schedule accompanied by a live, unedited feed that will air nightly on one of CBS' cable subsidiaries.

CBS has announced that Big Brother 8 will premiere Thursday, July 5 at 8PM ET on CBS with its Sunday and Tuesday editions scheduled to debut on Sunday, July 8 at 8PM ET and Thursday, July 10 at 9PM ET, according to Daily Variety. Big Brother 8's broadcasting schedule will be the same as the one last summer's Big Brother 7: All-Stars followed, except for the Tuesday night episode, which aired at 8PM ET instead of 9PM ET. In addition to airing thrice weekly on CBS, Big Brother 8 will also feature a live, unedited feed that will broadcast nightly on Showtime Too, a secondary channel of Showtime, the pay cable network that became a CBS Corporation subsidiary after CBS split from Viacom in 2005, according to Variety.

Titled Big Brother: After Dark, the spinoff will air nightly from 12AM to 3AM ET and feature footage from the same live camera feeds that are made available to subscribers of the show's 24/7 live Internet feeds. Given the Big Brother house is in Los Angeles, that means After Dark -- which will debut July 5, the same night as the show's CBS premiere -- will feature live coverage of the house's 9PM and 12AM PT happenings. "That's primetime for the Big Brother house," executive producer Allison Grodner told Variety. "It's when our houseguests are most wide awake and having fun, talking about strategy and playing the game." Similar to the manner in which Big Brother's production staff determines which of the house's dozens of camera feeds are made available for live Internet viewing, a producer will reportedly determine which camera feed is broadcast on Showtime Too's After Dark. Although After Dark's feed will reportedly be interrupted if the houseguests "say anything slanderous or that violates music copyrights," the fact that the Big Brother footage will be airing on Showtime -- a cable network that's not subject to FCC restrictions -- means that profanity and nudity will be broadcast. "People are going to see quite a bit," Grodner told Variety. In addition to its new After Dark spin-off and return of the show's traditional live Internet feeds offering, Big Brother's eighth season will also feature the return of House Calls, the Gretchen Massey-hosted Big Brother Internet talk show that CBS.com debuted during the show's fifth season in 2004, and Julie Chen, the CBS news anchor who has hosted all eight seasons of the show. With Big Brother 8 taking over CBS' Thursdays at 8PM ET time period, Pirate Master, Mark Burnett's new reality competition series, will relocate to Tuesdays at 10PM ET beginning July 10.

Looks like I will have to get Showtime Too for a few months!!!

Let The Bitch Fest Begin - Hell's Kitchen

I have to say I like this show. I just wish there were not so many "f" this and "f" that. All that "bleeping" get's on my nerves. But anyway, I look forward to another season of Hell's Kitchen.

Recap of Episode #1

Chef Ramsay “welcomes” the twelve contestants to the newly-redesigned Hell’s Kitchen restaurant without any touchy-feely greetings. He immediately orders them to each cook their own signature dishes. The men and women get to work under the gun, frantically putting together the food.Chef makes fun of Vinnie’s snapper and calls it a disappointment. Then he questions whether Joanna can really cook. Joanna sips her bellini cocktail concoction as Chef Ramsay labels her dish dry. Rock introduces his pan-seared scallops with gnocchi, confessing that he used frozen pasta. Chef Ramsay likes the concept of the dish but is disappointed in the execution. Rock is deflated.Josh wants his food to exude sex, but unfortunately his foie gras is raw and too salty. Does that describe his techniques in bed as well? Bonnie presents an update on a cheese course, and Chef Ramsay limits his complaints because she’s new to the kitchen. Bonnie still thinks he’s “kinda hot.”Eddie and Brad both feature scallops, so Chef makes them taste each other’s dishes. Although Chef Ramsay considers both meals under par, he at least agrees with the way Eddie reviewed Brad’s sauce. Jen reluctantly admits that the vanilla crepe with peach schnapps is hers because she knows it will be bad.

jordin sparkles!

as we start the 2 hour finale (why 2 hours when the results take 2 minutes?) as always randy is speaking his form of english, paula looks high and simon already looks bored to tears.

is it just me or does american idol have greater celeb backing than it used to? this year's finale had bette midler, gladys night, smokey robinson, tony bennet and green day not to mention gwen stefani live from her tour where as last year we were treated to a washed up, scary looking meatloaf.

so my main problem with the 2 hours is the filler. as long as it's entertaining it's not bad but the weird bird lady kissing ryan is not my idea of good tv, nor is making fun of the two guys who don't even understand they're being made fun of. all that stuff .... not funny. last year clay aiken coming out when his goofy, ugly looking, "twin" (although i don't think he looks like him) sang was hilarious and unexpected.

another thought i have is during this whole process the judges criticize if they feel a performance is too "broadway" or "showtuney" but they are always made to do this theatrical group bullshit. very few of them i actually enjoy because for the most part they are not current at all. why does "group performance" always equal "high school musical". (not the movie)

57 minutes into the show and the only thing that was entertaining to me was blake's beat boxing performance ....... something unlike anything on american idol to date. then at 63 minutes into the show .......... carrie underwood. so pretty, so talented and so grown up from 2 years ago. now that finale was something speical. picture it ....... gold sparkling dress, long wavy hair, gold sparks from the ceiling ..... carrie singing "inside your heaven", her voice cracking from the emotion on the last few lines .... then her emotional cry ... "thank you america!!". she became a star at that moment, it gave me chills then and it still does looking back. that girl is 1 in a million.

random thought - why aren't fundip sticks pink anymore?

the worst part of the show for me was sanjaya ...... even though i had him on mute i still was annoyed. the wind blowing, him thinking he's cool, the freaking girl crying again ........ i am without words. i have no words. i just know it makes me want to vomit. and someone please get that girl some medical help.

anyway so the results ..... jordin takes it and it was a very nice moment. i really liked them both so i was happy either way. i think they'll both go a long way.

Apolo Takes Home The Gold....Errr MirrorBall

When we left ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” on Monday, Apolo Anton Ohno and partner Julianne Hough had scored 58 points with the judges, Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson had 56 points, and Laila Ali and Maksim Chmerkovskiy had 55 points. The finale would bring one more dance from each couple, the crowning of the winner, and a whole lot of segments calculated to make time pass. As much time as possible, with as little effort as possible. We were, however, assured that America had spoken — hey, that’s us! — and that our votes would “decide everything.” The show immediately welcomed all of its bootees, from first-out Paulina Porizkova to the lovely Ian Ziering, whose graceful exit was just last week. Heather Mills gave us one more flip that dared us to suspect her artificial leg was going to fly off, and this time … it didn’t, either! I could have done without seeing her again!!Next came a recap of last night’s performances that included backstage “confessionals” in which every celebrity was duly irritated at not getting the scores he or she was hoping for—Apolo for his rumba, Laila for her freestyle, and Joey for his cha-cha. Seeing Joey really angry while still wearing last night’s hot pink ruffled shirt was something of a treat, but other than that, this was nothing we hadn’t already seen.

APOLLO DOMINATES

All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!! Go APOLLO!!!!!!!!The final round of “Dancing With The Stars” has, for the last couple of seasons, ended in a judges’ tie, allowing the audience to make the final decision. Going into Monday’s final performance show, the question remained: would we get the neatly arranged tie? Or would the judges take a stand and choose a favorite among the endearing Apolo Anton Ohno (paired with Julianne Hough), the over-hyped Laila Ali (paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy), and the hammy Joey Fatone (paired with Kym Johnson)? The evening started with a “judges’ choice” round, in which each couple performed a dance chosen for them by the judges. First to perform were Laila and Maks, who were given the paso doble. With exensions in her hair, Laila looked far more comfortable going into this performance than she did the last time they did the paso doble, which hadn’t been one of their stronger showings. The one weakness that sometimes crops up in Laila’s performances is a certain tentativeness, and it seemed not to be present here at all, and the dance scored two 10s and a 9 from judge Len Goodman, who saw a few “leg things” he didn’t think were just right. I thought she only deserved maybe all 9's. Was not my favorite dance of Laila's

Well Done Andy!

for once after a finale of the bachelor i'm not wanting to pull out my hair in frustration. that's because for once the guy picked the genuine girl and not the one that just gives his libido a jolt. then again from the beginning it seemed andy was in this for the right reasons and not just for a giant boink fest. hopefully this one will actually stick cause damn they'd make some beautiful babies!!

dolittle is finally a don't

i'm so glad that she got the "boot" this week. sure she can sing but i find her so boring i want to fling myself off the roof everytime i hear her sing! plus her fake "i'm so meek and mild" routine was so annoying and fake.

as for the final i love both blake and jordin so i'm very happy. if i had to pick an idol i might say blake because he's so different from anything they've had prior to now but either way they'll both get a CD out of it so WHOO HOO!!

news of big brother 8

March 5, 2007

Because of the popularity of the show Big Brother, CBS has just recently ordered an eighth installment of the show that will premiere in July 2007.

The much-awaited Big Brother season 8 will continue to have the same format just like previous installments of the show. In addition, the show will continue to be hosted by Julie Chen, wife of CBS Corporation president Les Moonves.

Big Brother, a reality series that showcases strangers who live under one roof equipped with loads of cameras and microphones to document their every move 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The goal of each housemate is to utilize his or her wit, charm, brains and brawns to ultimately win the cash prize. The reality show premiered in 2000 and has aired every summer following its initial run.

So what’s new with the upcoming Big Brother season 8? To begin with, season 8 will launch a “new epoch, ” after the “all star” experience from Big Brother season 7. It will also feature a new set of housemates with new challenges and surprise features to make the show even more interesting. Moreover, the function of Arnold Shapiro, Emmy and Oscar winning actor and executive producer of Big Brother season 1 to 6, has been trimmed down after the previous seasons’ catastrophic results.

Allison Grodner, executive producer of Big Brother who also worked with Shapiro explains that she and Shapiro will embark on new ventures separately. She told Variety, "We consider All-Stars sort of the end of an era, and now we're getting a chance to start once again with a fresh cast and new twists…We're at different stages in our respective careers…It's an amicable split of projects and directions."

At present, the auditions for the housemates of Big Brother season 8 are still ongoing. Deadline for the application is April 13, 2007 but may be extended depending on the producer’s discretion.

you're the one that i want - was enjoyable so far. kind of a rip off of american idol but still pretty cool. really not much more to say about it thus far.

the apprentice la - am i crazy or did don's hair change color in the first few scenes? if i were him i'd fire his hairdresser. also the wifey needs acting lessons. the baby was adorable though. i can't believe donald yelled at that guy to lower his voice like he was 5 years old. HA! i think the tent thing will probably end up being a good twist.

Amazing Race 10 - Episode 12

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 5:30am, models Tyler & James opened their clue that instructed them to drive 275 miles through the Atlas Mountains to the fabled city of Casablanca. Once there, they had to make their way to the area known as Quartier des Habous and find their next clue. Arriving at the Quartier des Habous still in first place, the models encountered a Roadblock. In this Roadblock, one team member had to prepare and cook one pound of camel meat according to a local recipe and then eat the meal they made. After grinding his camel meat and seasoning to taste, iron-stomached James began chowing down the camel kabob, surprised at how great it tasted, commenting, "It's like a really good burger." Meanwhile, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice, with their backs against the wall after being marked for elimination, arrived at the Quartier des Habous in second place by employing the navigational services of a local to pass the lost Rob & Kimberly and Lyn & Karlyn. Shocked to see their rivals, an incredulous Tyler & James asked, "Dammit, how'd they get here second?" Just as Kandice began preparing her meat, James ate the remaining camel kabob to earn the next clue. Opening it, the models learned they would be flying nearly 800 miles to Barcelona, Spain. As Tyler & James got into their cars to leave the Quartier des Habous, they ran into their alliance mates Rob & Kimberly who just arrived. After the models told the dating couple that the blondes beat them and pointed in the direction they needed to go to catch up, Rob & Kimberly proceeded to run around the Quartier des Habous long enough for single moms Lyn & Karlyn to join them in the search. As the two Teams floundered for directions to the Roadblock, Kandice ate her camel meat quickly to earn the clue for her Team.

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 12

You're A Rat.We relive the merge, the party, the vomiting, and the careful planning of Aitu in order to overcome their numbers deficit. We watch as Nate goes down the walk of shame and then proceeds to carry on about what a horrible person Jonathan is. There are 8 tribe members left. It is night 27.Jonathan explains to Candace on the way back to camp that he had to do what he did because it would have been him leaving tonight if he hadn't. He still may go the next week, but in order to stay, he was forced into voting the way he did. Yul and Sundra are relieved that Jonathan actually did what he promised and the vote came down as planned. Parvati is quick to tell Jonathan that she is disappointed and that he is vile and that it makes her feel sick to her stomach. Jonathan tries again to explain that the vote would have bounced off Yul (because of the immunity idol) and he would have gone home. Parvati rolls her eyes and says, "Yul does not have the immunity idol."Jonathan says, "Yul DOES have the immunity idol, he showed it to me." They stare at him blankly. It's obvious that Candace, Adam and Parvati do not believe him. He says that it's obvious they don't trust him and they admit it. He's a dirty miserable rat.My Scott thinks that the reason that everyone is so hard on Jonathan is that he sounds exactly like Alan Alda in those movie rolls where he is a shifty snide character. If you close your eyes when he talks, you can actually see Alan Alda speaking his words. Whatever the reason, Parvati, Adam and Candace are furious with him, and in reality, what he has said is true....he really had no choice but to flip again.

Bachelor - Finale - Personal Opinion Recap

Ok, this is the last one for this run of the Bachelor. But fear not we will be back again in the Spring of 2007.....Series Finale Can I just say that the best part of last night was the little teaser ABC did for the next Bachelor? HELLO NAVY DOCTOR! That made the torturous series finale of Prince Lorenzo actually worth the two hours we had to sit through for him to pick between the vanilla milkshake and the vanilla milkshake. So many people asked me who I thought he would pick. The truth is that I really didn’t care because they were identical to me. I guess it all came down to one thing really…Who did his Mommy liked better?SIMPLE DISCLAIMERThe following information you are about to read is of personal opinion. If this e-mail circulates to friends, family, enemies...that is your business. However, if you or someone in your address book happens to personally know, sort of know, know the brother/cousin of, thought you saw in the grocery store buying Winter Oreos or have a nail technician that looks exactly like one of the Bachelorettes on the show...none of this is personal and I'm sure they are all lovely people. If you had never seen one moment of the Bachelor Renzy season, you were caught up in the first 30 minutes of the show. If you didn’t know Sadie and Jen, you were caught up the second 30 minutes of the show. They are good girls. They have bubbly personalities. They sit on their beds and journal. They dream of having their fairy tale come true with a Prince in a castle. And if you didn’t already know, Sadie is saving herself for marriage. She lets the viewer in on this “secret” exactly six times in 53 minutes. I counted. And guess what? Renzy is having a hard time deciding who to pick. Fortunately, he gets some help from his parents. They will help him make the right decision.

Amazing Race - Episode 11

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 7:33am, models Tyler & James opened their clue that instructed them to fly nearly 3000 miles to Ouarzazate, Morocco, an oasis wedged between the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert. Once they landed, they had to drive four miles to the Kasbah district and find a local antique shop known as Antiquities du Sud where they had to choose one of four unique good luck charms, one of which would bring good fortune at the Pit StopAlthough they left the Pit Stop in first place, the models stumbled in finding the airport allowing their rivals, the beauty queens, to arrive there first. Using a local for information, Dustin & Kandice discovered that the fastest flight to Casablanca, Morocco, a city they needed to connect through, was via Milan, Italy, landing at 3:00pm. However, they also received a warning about the incredibly tight connection for the flight from Milan to Casablanca. To complete the itinerary, they also booked the final leg from Casablanca to Ouarzazate departing at 10:55pm. Arriving at the airport second, models Tyler & James received the bad news that the Milan flight was sold out. Instead, they met up with dating couple Rob & Kimberly to book an Air France flight through Paris landing in Casablanca at 4:35pm. Like the beauty queens though, the two Teams booked the 10:55pm flight from Casablanca to Ouarzazate. Last place single moms Lyn & Karlyn arrived last at the airport and booked the same flight from Kiev to Paris as Rob & Kimberly and Tyler & James. However, they had to take a later flight from Paris to Casablanca, landing at 10:00pm, just in time to connect from Casablanca with the other Teams. The single moms, now with no alliance at all, used their time wisely in Paris by buying a map of Ouarzazate and figuring out where they needed to drive when they landed.

Survivor - Thanksgiving Night

Why Would You Trust Me?Oh that gnarly little bottle. This week's revisit to last week's episode starts with that little bottle with its innocent looking little note. Of course, we know now that it wasn't so innocent and resulted in Jenny being sent home in a double eviction from the Raro tribe following Rebecca down the path of shame. The tribes now stand at 5 to 4, advantage Raro. Adam and Candace have reconnected, Aitu is hammering Raro on all of the challenges and apparently still holds a grudge against Candace for her mutiny. Jonathan has to feel like he has dodged a cannon ball at this point.Raro, Day 25. Jonathan is up early, fishing. He has found that the fish are more active and available in the morning. He still isn't sure about his position in the tribe but he knows that three people have gone home before he and Candace and he's still the main source of food, fire and general work as the rest are not exactly gung ho on the work ethic thing. The young people like to sleep in. Jonathan may be getting a little cocky though as he starts in saying that the tribe is going to have to start paying attention to him. This doesn't sit well at all with Nate who still feels Jonathan is an outsider. Jonathan is still talking too much to Candace, discussing his feelings about how the tribe is supposed to work.I gotta say that the new comedy with Ben Stiller, Night at the Museum, looks really funny. The Ellen Degeneres commercial for American Express is too cute, it really is.But back to the jungle. Aitu is feeling good about their performance but Yul is in some pain. He says that the challenges are taking a toll on him. Sundra has a nasty knee wound. She says they are still the underdogs and must prove themselves each and every day, all the time. They are surprised to arrive at the next challenge and see the new Raro down two members. Jeff points out that if Aitu had lost, the tribes would be 7 to 2.

The Bachelor - Finale

Lorenzo must now decide between the last two bachelorettes: Sadie, the sweet, conservative San Diego native who is saving herself for marriage; and Jen, the self-described daddy's girl from Miami who loves her job as an eighth-grade teacher. He knows the decision will be hard, so he's glad his parents are in town to meet both women and give him their thoughts on each. His mother, Princess Amanda, and father, Prince Francesco, arrive by limo. They've been married for 40 years, so Lorenzo trusts their input. They tell Lorenzo they're there to help and will love whomever he ends up choosing. His mother has a surprise for him: She's designed an engagement ring that he can present to the woman of his choice.Jen admits she's nervous to meet Lorenzo's parents but she hugs them both warmly. Francesco asks why she likes Lorenzo and she says when she pictures her future husband, she pictures Lorenzo now, since he has all the qualities she wants in a husband and father of her children. Amanda asks Lorenzo if he can say, in front of Jen, why she is one of the last two remaining women. He says he admires her strength and independence and that if he was down, he thinks she could pick him up. And that she has all the qualities he's looking for in a wife. Amanda asks Jen how she differs from Sadie. She says she's more direct than Sadie and that she's tougher, probably because her father made her that way. In turn, Jen asks what they are looking for in a daughter-in-law and Francesco answers "Someone who makes Lorenzo happy."Francesco takes Lorenzo aside and tells him he approves of Jen, while Amanda talks one-on-one with Jen. Jen tells Amanda that Lorenzo gives her butterflies. Amanda reveals she's a palm reader. She takes Jen's hand and tells her that she knows she's a daddy's girl. And that her fate will be determined by the man she marries, that she'll live where he lives or will work with him in some way. She also predicts she will definitely get married and have two children, a boy and a girl.

Amazing Race 10 - Episode 10

After completing the breathtaking, face-forward angel dive down the Olympic Tower in Helsinki, models Tyler & James received the shocking news that the leg had not yet ended. Instead, they had to travel 1,900 miles to Kiev, Ukraine and select a Russian made car where their next clue awaited. With the Cho brothers, Lyn & Karlyn, and Rob & Kimberly descending upon the tower, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice showed signs of trepidation, but rappelled down the building before the other Teams arrived. In the three-way race for last, single moms Lyn & Karlyn surged ahead, leaving their acrophobic alliance partners, Erwin & Godwin, behind at the tower. Karlyn later remarked, "We still have an alliance with the Cho brothers as far as sharing information, but we're all just gonna run for it right now. However it works out, that's how it works out." At the airport, Tyler lost his cool when he realized the earliest flight to Kiev didn't depart until 8:25am the next morning, landing at 1:35pm. When James suggested that Tyler let the anger go, he sniped, "We bust our ass all day long and have nothing out of it? It pisses me off." After settling down, he and James purchased tickets for the flight along with their constant shadow from the previous leg, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice. On the models, Dustin commented, "It's kind of a love, hate thing with the boys. We can't afford to spend time with them on the race. Ultimately, we have to break away from the boys, because if we stay with them, they're going to out kick us in the end."

She feels she has been separated by the time on exile island but she trusts Adam because he looks at her with that "I want you even if you stink and can braid your armpits" look. Jenny is concerned about Candace, because she is depending on the Nate, Adam, Rebecca, Parvati, Jenny alliance to keep her going. Parvati says that Candace and Adam are like the all American couple, whatever that means. Jenny feels that Candace could make Adam falter, and she's right. Adam is having long talks and hand holding sessions with Candace talking about how they trust each other and he actually kisses her wounds to make them better. Dancing With The Stars - Finale

All I can say is WOW!!! What a night of dancing!

I think this has been the best finale yet. We of course have the media darling in Emmitt Smith and the very good dancer in Mario Lopez competing for the prized Mirror Ball Trophy. These two have impressed me for the whoel season. You could easily see that Mario had some dance background, not necessarily ballroom dance background, but some dance background. Emiitt on the other had was thought to be the big heavy footed football clod. Did he fool us. His lightness on his feet were a treat to watch all season long.

When the season began I was pulling for Mario and Monique - I had to pull for Monique because I have a 10 year old and I needed to make her happy...lol

During the course of the season, my favorite changed to Emmitt, especially after Monique was sent home. I think the reason for this had to do mainly with Marios partner, Karina and her sour disposition. She always seemed to come on stage with a hateful scowl on her face. Tis a shame, because with a smile I bet she is a very pretty lady. I also think the daggers she threw at Cheryl Burke all season were uncalled for. And as the season wore on, Mario seemed to get just a little too cocky for my taste. He was choosen as the winner from day one, but I think he got too sure and full of himself and he ended up making the voting public look the other way.

For the last dances of the season, we were treated to Mario and Emmitt getting to dance to the same song, repeat a dance and then freestyle. I think when they danced to the same song, Emmitt blew Mario away. Although Mario received 29 and Emmitt got 30, I think the judges were being nice to Mario. In my opinion Mario did not deserve 29. I wasnt impressed with that dance.

For the repeat dance, Mario did the Pasa Doble and the judges gave him a perfect score. I am not a fan of this dance so I will leave the judging to the professional judges. I do however think he danced good, just once again I wish his partner did not look like she was mad all the time

For Emmitts repeat dance he did the Samba and again got a 30, which he deserved. This was a great dance and I enjoyed every minute of it.

For the freestyle, we have Mario doing hip hop and breakdancing. Although everyone expected Mario to do lifts out of the you know what, but he did not. He only did two lifts. Surprising since he got scolded twice for doing lifts when he wasn't supposed to. I personally did not like Marios freestyle. Looked to me like for half the dance, his partner just stood there and watched him. What was that all about. But the judges awarded him a 30, which gave him an 89 out of 90.

Now Emmitts fresstyle was AWESOME! He danced to MC Hammers Can't Touch This and I have to admit I was sitting there dancing to the music too. I would have stood up and danced but I probably would have embarrassed my daughter too much, so I stayed seated. But Emmitt did a GREAT job. I loved him freestyle. He tried a few lifts and they seemed awkward. For a football star I would have thought he would have had no problem lifting Cheryl, but I guess when you are a short football star it is not as easy. Emmit was given a 29, which gave him a total of 89 as well.

So we ended the show with a tie. America would get to choose the winner. And sot he voting began!

When we came back on Wednesday night, we were treated to seeing all the stars dance again. Even though they only got to dance for maybe 20/30 seconds it was nice to see. Was also nice to see Sara Evans smiling, what with all she is going through. Prayers are with you Sara.

We also got to see Mario and Emmitt dance again and I was not disppointed! There was some behind the scene footage showign that Mrio and Karina may really have a personal relationship. At least during the competition they kissed and acted like they were a couple, but I have a feeling Karina will have heartbreak one Mario dumps her. Up until the finale, they lead the America audience on into thinking they were a couple, however Mario made several comments that led me to believe he considers her only a friend now and they will nto be together after the show. Time will tell.

The results are read and when they were, myself and my daughter probably woke the dead with our screams of joy! Emmitt and Cherly were the winners. And rightfully so, or at least I think so. My thinking for this is that Emmitt had NO dance background whatsoever, however Mario has had some professional training. Maybe not ballroom training but enough trainign to understand what beat to start on and to know the moves. Mario was great from day one, but he never improved. Emmitt on the other hand, improved week after week. He BECAME a dancer, he did not start as a dancer and for me that is the reason he deserved to be the winner.

So I will end with a big CONGRATUALTIONS to Emmitt and Cheryl. I cant wait for the next season which we now know will begin in March.

Happy dancing to you all!

Bachelor Recap-Personal Opinion-Episode Six

We are counting down to the end. Only two more episodes, The Women Tell All and the Finale. Who will he choose.Remember this recap is of personal opinion from a friend of mine who gets it from a friend of a friend. I think it is pretty funny. Hope you enjoy it...........Let’s begin by saying that I missed you dear reader. I feel like it’s been so long with me being in California and then ABC sneakily aired the Country Music Awards instead of our beloved Bachelor. And with only two episodes left, it will be an entire WHO KNOWS when we see each other again. That makes me a little sad. What can I think about to cheer me up?I KNOW! Daniel Craig as the new James Bond. A blond James Bond. He’s sexy. I KNOW! Jim and Pam reunite on The Office this week! Hooray!I KNOW! Chach and THE VIRGIN trying to make out under water in a pool with full scuba gear on!There it is…that happy warm feeling mixed with anxiousness and embarrassment. Feel the Bachelor love with me and read on.SIMPLE DISCLAIMERThe following information you are about to read is of personal opinion. If this e-mail circulates to friends, family, enemies...that is your business. However, if you or someone in your address book happens to personally know, sort of know, know the brother/cousin of, thought you saw in the grocery store buying Halloween Oreos or have a nail technician that looks exactly like one of the Bachelorettes on the show...none of this is personal and I'm sure they are all lovely people.Like it or not, our Bachelor is at least TRYING to do the right thing with these girls. Sure he’s awkward, can’t kiss and probably hides his own V-card in his wallet, but Renzy is attempting to be a stand up guy. He’s excited about the exotic overnight forgo card dates and is very confused that each of these women hold qualities that he wants in a future wife.Renzy was man enough to let us in on his deep thoughts as he pondered who would stay…and who would go home with there fairy tale crushed. We see these pop up throughout the night. Let’s listen in on the first one.Deep Thoughts by Lorenzo Borghese“I am confused. The goal here is to not be left with three women…but with one.”A-ha. I did not get that before. Thanks for the insight.

The Bachelor Rome - Episode Six

Lorenzo has his first of three overnight dates with Jennifer. They meet in Gothenburg, Sweden, where neither has ever been before. They go to an amusement park, where they ride the rollercoaster and then they go to an ice bar, where everything is made out of ice, from the furniture to the glasses! Lorenzo says that New York in the winter is colder, and asks Jennifer if she'd ever consider moving to New York. Jennifer says she definitely would since she can teach anywhere. To the camera, she admits she hadn't thought that far ahead and that she would miss her family, but it's a risk she's willing to take for Lorenzo. She says she's taking this all very seriously, so she's not going to say yes to the Fantasy Suite if she doesn't feel that connection. Over dinner on the waterfront, he asks her if she's ever been in love, and she answers "twice." Once when she was 16 and a very serious relationship in college. She says that even thought the last breakup was painful, it's good to go through that because now she feels like she's ready to get married and have kids.

Bachelor & Dancing With the Stars Recap

Dancing With The Stars:

Ok, I am a little behind here. About two weeks behind - sorry for the delay. Two weeks ago Monique was eliminated, not much surprise here. Although she danced well and has improved considerably, she did not have the fan base to keep her in the competition.
Last week, it was just the guys, Mario, Emmitt and Joey. They each had to do two dances and when it was all said and done all three were tied in the scoring. Each received a perfect score of 30 on one dance and a 29 on the other. Although everyone thinks Mario's tango was the best dance of the night, I tend to disagree. I though Emmits dance to Ride Sally Ride was much much better and more entertaining. So for the results show Joey was sent home. I think this was not a shocker either. Again fan base will make you or break you. So for the finale tomorrow, it will be Mario and Emmitt. Seems as though Mario has this pretty much sewn up and in the bag. I like Mario, watched him many a time on Saved By the Bell. In fact when getting dressed in the morning, I still watch the reruns, however I would like to see an upset and see Emmitt take it home. I really like Cheryl and can not stand Karina. Karina is just too smug and she needs to be brought down a notch or two. Who will you vote for?

The Bachelor:
There was no show last week due to the Country Music Awards, so I am not behind here. I will say tonight should be interesting what with the "forgo" dates. I think ABC will get the Prince to keep Lisa for drama and we will have a Lisa and Sadie finale with Sadie taking it home. She has been my pick from day one, let's see if I am right.

Check back tomorrow for recaps of The Bachelor and I promise on Wednesday or Thursday I will have a recap of Dancing With The Stars finale recap for you too!

Amazing Race 10 - Episode 9

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 2:56am, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice opened their clue to discover they need to fly over 6,000 miles to Helsinki, Finland. Once they land, they have to find the Kappeli coffee house and log onto a computer for a surprise from AOL. Due to limited availability of flights out of Madagascar, Teams are provided with tickets to Paris, France, where they would have to make arrangements of their own to connect to Helsinki. However, they are under no obligation to use these tickets. Once the beauty queens notice that the flight to Paris doesn't depart until 9:40pm, nearly nineteen hours later, they decide to look for other options. As models Tyler & James, dating couple Rob & Kimberly, and brothers Erwin & Godwin all gather around Dustin & Kandice, the beauty queens' barrage of questions to the ticket agent pay off as they find a flight through Johannesburg and Frankfurt, leaving at 5:00am, that would land in Helsinki the next day at 10:20am. With the four Teams all booking tickets on the 5:00am flight to Johannesburg, the only question remaining is whether last place Lyn & Karlyn, who left the Pit Start at 3:55am, would make it in time. Just as the Cho brothers walk away from the counter with tickets in hand, the single moms arrive at the airport where the brothers filled them in on everyone's flight information. At the counter with only minutes to spare, Lyn & Karlyn initially receive the bad news that the flight is now closed, but they ultimately convince the tickets agents to let them on. Karlyn notes, "We're just really appreciative of them being cooperative about it. I'm really excited!" The Cho brothers are all smiles to see their allies board the plane as Lyn remarks, "Don't count me out." However, the other three Teams appear less than happy by the single moms' last minute arrival.

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 9

MutinyAs usual, we rehash last weeks episode and see Jessica sent packing. Jonathan seems to be under the assumption that he is running the tribe. He even talks as "we are really doing well", "we are in a good place". He kind of lays out what he thinks is the boot order, indicating that Ozzy would be the next to go if they lose an immunity challenge before the merge. Candace doesn't really want to keep with the six after the merge because she is anxious to rejoin Adam and Parvati, her friends from her original tribe. She doesn't seem to be as tight with Jonathan as Jonathan seems to believe.Heavy metaphor time as a spider is weaving a huge web.Candace talks to Jonathan and tells him that she may want to flop alliances if she has the opportunity to be with Adam and Parvati. Jonathan says he has trusted Candace all along and he plans to be with her at the end. She nods politely as if this is her thought as well, but she admits later that she really doesn't have any strong ties to Jonathan and would like to see him go because he seems to only care about what will advance himself further in the game.In the Raro camp, the tribe is also talking about the merge. They are all saying how they will stick together. Then Brad comments that after the merge it's "every man for himself". What he thought was just an offhand comment makes eagle ears Nate angry. He says he no longer trusts Brad since he thinks it's "every man for himself." Of course, we survivor fans know that after the merge, it's really every man for himself, but apparently saying that is an outrage. Parvati jumps on the comment as well, saying it's not an individual game yet. Jenny says they need to still be a team.

Bachelor Rome - Personal Opinion-Episode Six

So I am a little late with this....better late than never.Remember, this recap is for humor only and is brought to you from a friend of a friend of a friend.....for the more serious viewer that does not like a little humor, check out the other recap of The Bachelor....On to the recap.............
Im in California. Every time I call somebody, I say that Im in CA-LI-FORN-YAAAAAAA like the song from the OC. Yes I watch the OC. Thats not my pointy. Heres my problem. Last night at 7:40, I was about to pass out in my hotel bed. I was no longer vertical, and that is never a good sign. With the two hour time difference, on top of the daylight savings change, it felt like 10:40 to my body. Not to mention the fact that I popped up around 4:15 that morning...again…7:15 a.m. to my body…you can imagine the sleepiness that I felt. I wondered how I was going to make it through the show. Then I realized that the Bachelor does not come on at 8:00 p.m. in California like it does in Texas. ANOTHER HOUR! I apologize now for any random thoughts…or unfinished thoughts…that may follow. Everyone knows that I have the eating habits and bedtime of a third grader. Its just who I am. Loving me means loving all of me. Anybody going to buy the Kevin Federline CD today? Rock on.
SIMPLE DISCLAIMER:The following information you are about to read is of personal opinion. If this e-mail circulates to friends, family, enemies...that is your business. However, if you or someone in your address book happens to personally know, sort of know, know the brother/cousin of, thought you saw in the grocery store buying Halloween Oreos or have a nail technician that looks exactly like one of the Bachelorettes on the show...none of this is personal and Im sure they are all lovely people.
This episode is very exciting. Take home dates. Who will he choose? Lisa was the first to capture his heart, but he doesn t know about her plan. Sadie is all about her V-Card but doesn’t want to rest on her laurels. The Prince is impressed with the teacher from Miami and Agnes caught him from the moment he saw her. Lets take a whirlwind journey around the globe!

Amazing Race 10 - Episode 8

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 3:00am, beauty queens Dustin & Kandice discovered they needed to fly 700 miles to the nearby island of Madagascar. Once in the capital city of Antananarivo, they had to search for the Black Angel, a local landmark that had recently been painted white.Last place coal miner and wife David & Mary, who again faced a 30-minute penalty after being marked for elimination, breathed a sigh of relief when they and their six-pack alliance members booked seats on the same flight to Antananarivo as the beauty queens, models Tyler & James, and dating couple Rob & Kimberly. On the six-pack, Mary commented, "We feel great being at the airport and everybody here. The other three Teams are really on to how strong our alliance is. Makes us want to fight even harder to beat them." Landing in Antananarivo, Madagascar, with the pressure mounting, David & Mary took the early lead out of the airport in what they hoped would be a fast taxi followed closely by alliance members Lyn & Karlyn and Erwin & Godwin. On getting the quick jump, fourth place Dustin noted, "I can tell the six-pack is really stepping it up today. They're rushing. They're working harder than I've ever seen them work. It just makes me aware that we have to be on our A-game today." Fifth place Tyler added, "[David & Mary are] gonna need a lot of help to stay in first. They keep hanging around somehow. Today's the knockout punch I think."

Survivor Cook Island - Episode 8

Why Aren't You SwimmingFor the record, I still think kidnapping Nate instead of Cristina was a missed opportunity of huge proportions. They could have thrown the Raro tribe into complete disarray. Hanging out at Aitu gives Nate the chance to get an idea of what is going on with the other tribe. Jessica elects to discuss the removal of Cao Boi and her being out of the loop in front of Nate which makes the others of her tribe very concerned. Yul's alliance with Becky and Candace discusses their order of eviction and they are talking about Ozzy, Jessica, Jonathan and finally Sundra, but they are also aware that there is probably a merge on the horizon. They are placing Ozzy first because he is by far the most talented swimmer, fisherman, coconut gatherer, etc. He is a formidable opponent on any challenge. They realize that Jonathan is a fierce competitor and that moves him into position to be dumped in front of Sundra but an impending merge may move him further up the boot list.Is anyone else just dying to see that new movie "Happy Feet"? I actually like to watch that commercial every time.

The Bachelor Rome - Episode five

First, Lorenzo visits Sadie in San Diego. He meets her parents, Reed and Colleen, her sister Kelsey and her best friend Alexis.Reed asks about the group date: "You don't normally date 10 women at one time?" Lorenzo jokes, "I do, but they don't know about it." He tells them about how Sadie flew his plane and the family is very impressed.Colleen thinks Lorenzo is very down to earth and likes how he actually makes eye contact. She asks him what qualities he's looking for in an ideal mate and he says he's looking for honesty, someone he can have a great time with, someone who can be his best friend, and someone he can trust. Sadie says grace over dinner and notes that her parents are expecting her to find someone who "loves God and is looking for a serious relationship," so bringing home an Italian prince is pretty unexpected. She tells her best friend Alexis how much she cares about Lorenzo and that he makes her feel safe. Her mother is impressed that she trusts Lorenzo so much but also advises her to "guard her heart."Lorenzo tells Reed, who couldn't be more different than Jennifer's father, that after meeting her family, he knows where Sadie got a lot of her best traits. Reed is touched and says he trusts Sadie's judgment.
