Dancing with the Stars - Episode Three

I know I am late with this recap...please forgive me as I have been laid up with pnuemonia and I just have not felt like getting online for the past week. This will be short and sweet.

Monique - I thought she did an amazing job with the Jive, especially when her foot got snagged on her fringe of her dress and revealed a little more than most people wanted to see. She covered the mistake very well and continued on without missign a beat. This girl gets better and better

Vivica - Don't get me wrong, I like Vivica, but why did she get to do a tango when the other girls did the Jive. Her tango was good, but her diva little attitude and play to the camera is starting to grate on my nerves.

Willa - hated hated hated the outfit. The dance was not much better either. Although she improved over the last week, I found nothing about this dance remotely memorable. Maybe it was the outfit, maybe the stupid little hat....I don't know but I was not at all impressed.

Amazing Race - Episode 10 Review

Did you miss Sundays episode of amazing Race? Fear not, we have the entire recap for your reading plasure....

Departing the Pit Stop in first place at 9:04 pm, models and friends Tyler & James discovered they had to travel 963 miles by bus and train deep into the barren landscape of Outer Mongolia to the capital city of Ulan Bator. Once there, they had to make their way to the Choijin Lama Temple where they would observe a ceremony to receive their next clueArriving at the bus station, the models happily signed up for a 12 am bus to the train station, giving them a two-hour lead over the second bus along with father and daughter Duke & Lauren, friends Peter & Sarah, dating couple Rob & Kimberly and beauty queens Dustin & Kandice. While the Teams on the second bus were understandably concerned at beginning the leg with a considerable time deficit, they remained positive simply because of the company they kept. Boyfriends Tom & Terry remarked, "Coming into the Race, I never imagined there would be such bonding in such a short period of time. There is power in this back pack. We've got great competitors here and we're having fun." Coal miner's wife Mary added, "I'm making friends with people I would have never thought in this world I would have met. I've never known an Asian person in my life and the Cho brothers, I love them to death. Honest to goodness, we've never been around gay people, but buddy, I like them."

Survivor - Episode 2

I think the best part of the show was the end. I fell off the couch laughing so hard when Billy revealed to Jeff that he had found love....with a member of another tribe...someone he has not spoken too but has mouthed the words "I Love You" to..........excuse me a minute while I laugh some more....

Is this guy weird or what. He does nothing to break the stereotype mold of heavy metal rockers. Come on, you know some of you think heavy metal rockers are somewhat weird....well he just proved that point. Doesn't he know that the point of the division in tribes by race was to hopefully break the common stereotype.....sorry Billy you messed up you did nothing to help your kind.

Dancing With The Stars Episode Two - 09-19-06

This episode was better than last. There were a couple surprisesNow let's talk about the good, the ok and the bad.

First the good:
Joey was awesome. He did a great job with his Quick Step. I look for him to go far in this competition.

Monique was so hot. I loved the little gold dress on her and man did she move. Her Mambo was HOT HOT HOT. The chemistry was better this week with Louis and I think it will only get better week after week.

Emmitt was again very good this week. Although the song choice was not my favorite (Black Horse in Cherry Tree), he did a good job with his Quick Step. And he sure did look dapper in his tux

The OK..........

Amazing Race - Episode One

Flying through the saltwater mists above the Pacific Ocean, seaplanes transported the 12 Teams to the starting line in the "Emerald City" of Seattle, Washington. As the Teams lined up in the rain, they received the usual introduction from Phil along with a warning of new surprises they would never expect. After proclaiming, "The world is waiting," Phil lowered his hand to signal the beginning of THE AMAZING RACE. In a mad dash to the backpacks and the first clue, model Tyler took a spill courtesy of cheerleader Jamie as the 12 Teams learned they would be flying to Beijing, China on one of two flights: United Flight 875 departing at 1:22 pm or Korean Air Flight 26 leaving at 2 pm.With seats to Beijing on a first come, first serve basis, efficient navigation to the Sea-Tac International Airport made all the difference. Models Tyler & James took an early lead out of the parking lot, but quickly relinquished it after stopping for directions allowing best friends Bilal & Sa'eed to pull ahead. On Interstate 5, however, all Teams encountered gridlock traffic due to an accident. Quick thinking helped recently dating couple Peter & Sarah, who took a gamble by exiting the freeway to use side roads, a choice that propelled them into first. After a slow start out of the parking lot, coal miner and wife David & Mary also took an alternate route to move ahead while beauty queens Dustin & Kandice weaved through the crowded interstate to save some time.

Survivor Episode One - My Thoughts

Ok, so the first episode of Survivor has come and gone so I thought I would share my thoughts about this season on Survivor (if you would like to share yours, click the link at the bottom and give us your opinions....come on you know you want to....lol).
The thought of dividing the tribes by ethnic background seemed like it would spell disaster for Survivor, but that does not really appear to be the case. I think by doing this it will make the individual tribes more determined to “represent” and play harder. At least that is the thought with the Afirican-american tribe. Let's just hope they can come together and not all try to run the tribe. As one of them put it, none of us like to be told what to do. They will have to swallow some pride and learn to work together otherwise they will be gone before they can make a shelter.
This Survivor started off as has past Survivors with the players being dumped into the middle of the ocean with whatever they could take with them. The only difference was that the Survivors were able to take anything they could salvage from the ship they were on such as firewood and chickens. It was funny to see someone chase a chicken in the ocean. I guess he was smart enough to know, protein will be hard to come by!
Once all the tribes make it to their respective beaches, we begin to get a feel for the characters who are now playing the game. In the Asian tribe, we get the wacky Cai Boi, who is the only true full blooded Asian (his words not mine). He was not born in America but came to America as a refuge from Vietnam and laments that his appearance and lifestyle labels him more of a 60’s hippie than an Asian. I get a kick out of him because he is definitely old school and takes his heritage seriously. Like for instance when Brad, an Asian-American within his tribe got a headache. Weren’t you laughing too when he performed his headache releasing technique on Brad? If you weren't you surely were when he finished and Brads headache went away but was replaced with what looked like a bad brush burn centered in between his eyes....lol
The challenge was kinda cool, especially the puzzle boat they had to put together. Seems like the Caucasion tribe did not get their boat completely put together as it started coming apart while they were rowing in the water. How great was it to see the Asian’s come in first in the immunity tribe. I mean, come on who would have thought the smallest in size would beat the muscles that were on the other tribes. I guess dynamite really does come in small packages.
I really think the Afirican - American tribe made a mistake by getting rid of the big guy, especially if the next challenge involves the need for strength.
And how about the body on Adam, in the Caucasion Tribe.....OMG....I hope he plans to do the rest of Survivor shirtless.....lol
Exile Island looks like it will be harded to take this year. Did not see any form of shelter to guard you from the weather elements. Just a blank beach with a small piece of a shipwrecked boat. I guess you better be good at fishing with your hands if you want t0 have something to eat because I did not see many trees to be able to get coconuts from.
Not a lot of alliances being formed just yet, but suspect that will change in upcoming episodes.
All in all I think Survivor is off to a good start and I look forward to the rest of the season. I wonder how long before they will merge the tribes?

Dancing With The Stars Episode One

We begin another season of this wildly popular show pretty much the same as always. Tom and Samantha are back as the hosts, although I don’t know why ABC brought Samantha back. I would have preferred a different host and had heard rumors that Lisa Rhinna would be possibly hosting but I guess for some reason, ABC wanted Samantha. Oh well, I guess we cant have it all. The judges are the same which is ok. I kind like Bruno, as he adds some comic relief when needed.

The line-up of talent for this year looked like it would be very good. I don’t know of anyone that has any professional dance experience (Stacey Keibler) but the season is young and I am sure some super sleuths will dig something up.
The girls looked impressive with the exception of.....

Another Boogie Interview

Here is an interview with Boogie with The Slug:

He Said/"Ho" Said: The "Big Brother" Final Two

Not that we really cared since Janelle Pierzina went out last week, but Mike "Boogie" Malin beat his "homance" Erika Landin to win the $500,000 prize on the "Big Brother 7: All Stars" finale. The bestest part of the evening was when Julie Chen — who totally looked like a 1980s banker lady — showed Erika footage of Boogie calling her a ho on national television. Erika and Boogie called The Slug right after they were on "The View." (Rosie totally gave Booger hell — and we love her for it.) Here's what they had to say about their showmance.

Big Brother All Star Finale

WOW....hard to believe the summer has come and gone and so has our beloved Big Brother. Although I am torn and in one way glad its over, as I have sooooo much to do that I have neglected, I am sad its over because now I dont know what I will do in my spare time....lol Just kidding, I do have a life outside Big Brother and thankfully I can get back to it without worrying about what I am missing on the feeds.

The finale was brutle to some and funny to others. I thought it was kinda cruel of Big Brother to show Erika just how bad she got played and the terrible things that Boogie said about her, on LIVE National TV. In the same respect it was terrible that they showed Janie what James was saying abotu her. It's bad enough these two girls will get out of the bubble and see and hear all these nasty things that were said to them, but to show them on LIVE National Tv for ratings was ptiful.
Anyway on to the recap......

It was 72 days ago that 14 All-Stars walked into the Big Brother house. Tonight only two are left standing. And their fate is now in the hands of the jury of seven. Who will win the half million dollar grand prize and be crowned the ultimate Big Brother All-Stars, Mike or Erika?
This season on Big Brother Al-Stars, 14 all stars moved in for a second chance at the half million dollar prize. The four season sixers picked up where they left off and quickly formed an alliance. Big Brother Two winner Will and his best friend Mike resurrected Chill Town. In the beginning season six seemed unbeatable, winning the first four head of household competitions, and evicting Alison, Nakomis, Jase, and Diane. When season six finally lost power in the house to Danielle, Chill Town went on the offensive, secretly making Janelle the prime target. Janelle proved that she was the ultimate competitor. Chill Town put a new strategy into effect, a mission called "operation double date." Mike manipulated Erika, and Janelle fell under the puppet master's spell. Working behind the scenes, Chill Town played everyone in the house perfectly, taking chill town to the final four. Finally, after weeks of Chill Town pulling the strings, Erika unraveled their plan and convinced Janelle to send the puppet master packing.

Interview with the Queen of Big Brother - Janelle

Exclusive Big Brother All-Stars Interview: Janelle
We chat with the blonde bombshell about her second season in the house.
by Staci Krause

September 8, 2006 - In Big Brother 6, the final three were Janelle, Ivette and Maggie. Ivette ended up winning the final Head of Household, despite Janelle's strength at competitions, and took Maggie to the final three. Last night, de ja vu hit in Big Brother All-Stars. Mike and Erika battled it out for the final HoH and Mike won. He took Erika and Janelle became the last member of the jury.

We talked to Janelle about finishing third twice, Will Kirby, her strategy and her time in the house. Here's what the Queen Bee had to say.

IGN TV: This is the second time that you went to the final three but could not win the last HoH and were not taken to the final two. Congratulations on making final three again, but how does it feel to be so close twice and not able to finish the deal?

Janelle: I have mixed feelings. I was obviously a huge target and I feel like I accomplished a lot just by making it to the final three, but to be so close to the money again, it is a little bit disappointing. I think that if I would have won that first endurance one, I could have beat Mike 'Boogie' in the Q&A and I probably would have won the whole thing. After I knew I didn't win the one with Mike 'Boogie', I knew I was toast.

IGN TV: Why did you agree to do Big Brother again?

Interview With The Diva Himself - Marcellas

Marcellas Reynolds May Be A Diva, But He Isn't Easy
by Tabby Lavalamp, September 12, 2006
The competition may be over for the only openly gay contestant on Big Brother: All-Stars, Marcellas Reynolds, but the season isn't. Currently languishing in sequester house hell, Marcellas became the first member of the jury of seven who will decide which of the final two wins half a million dollars tonight.

Unlike in the actual Big Brother house, jurors in sequester aren't entirely cut off from the world. They are occasionally allowed to do interviews under certain conditions, including the stipulation that all questions must be kept to events that the House Guest would have been present for while in the house. AfterElton.com's talk with Marcellas took place the afternoon of Thursday, September 7th.

Our interview was originally scheduled for the week before, but the day it was supposed to take place Hurricane John was heading directly for the sequester house located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

AfterElton: What's the most shocking thing you've heard [in sequester] so far?
Marcellas Reynolds: I'm not shocked that Janelle had a deal with Dr. Will because I think we all knew that, but I'm shocked that she had that deal from as far back as week two. And I'm actually shocked at the relationship between Mike Boogie [Malin] and Erika [Landin]. We all thought that they were just flirting and hanging out a bit or whatever, but I didn't know that they were really as serious as a “showmance” could get on the show..

Interview with Season 2's Monica Bailey

Monica, so you were one of the top 20 All-Star candidates:
I was one of the 20 All-Stars. They chose 14, and unfortunately I did not make the All-Stars, a little disappointed but not surprised.

So even though you were disappointed that you didn’t make it in the house, that didn’t stop you from watching this season?
I need to know why I wasn’t chosen as an All-Star and plus my two guys from my season, Will and Mike are there, so I had to watch the show. I had to support Season 2! They’re my good friends anyways outside of the house so I needed to watch them work their magic and I wanted to see why I wasn’t there. I wanted to see what was so phenomenal about these 14 people to see why I wasn’t there. So I am watching the show and I know everything that’s going on.

And based on what you’ve seen already, you feel like you should have been on there?
I shoulda been…I shoulda been. Just for the fire and keeping it real. Because everybody has been playing the game very scary except for Chill Town. They going for it, they playing the game. They didn’t get so caught up in the money so early. Everybody else was just getting caught up in the money. Everybody can’t win the prize, so have fun playing the game! Everybody taking the game too seriously and not playing the game. Everybody playing too scared. I don’t see enough fire! I wanna’ see some you know, lets get down, lets play the game, not let’s tiptoe around it. Let’s call you out, if you did wrong, let’s call you out and put you on front street and let everyone see how you really are! …But the downfall is all those different alliances.
