Dancing With The Stars - Double Time

For tonights show, the stars will have to perform two dances each. This is where we will find out who can take it and who will crumble.

Helio and Julianne are up first with a tango. This would prove to be a not so good dance for Helio. For the tango you must be serious and as we have already seen, Helio is better at the dances he can smile during. Julianne did get him a video message from home, his parents, for soem encouragement. The dance fell flat for me. The judges seem like they are going to be very critical, pointing out all the flaws. This is probably a reaction due to the surprise elimination of Sabrina last week. I'm thinking the judges are thinking that America will listen to their critics and vote accordingly. Sorry judges, your worng. This may be a dancing show, but it is a popularity contest. Helio surprising got 9, 8, 8 for scores - high to me.

Marie and Jonathan are next with a military inspried Quickstep. She didicates this to her parents, how sweet. Her practice footage reveals, if you didn't already know, that Marie has 8 kids and is used to dealing with stess and pressure. Her Quickstep is AWESOME!!! I was expecting 10's considering the rave reviews she got from the judges, but alas 2 9's and one 10 from Bruno.

Mel and Maks are next with a foxtrot. Mel's scheudle has become very busy what with getting ready for the Sprice Girls tour. Her foxtrot is ok, not spectacular (to me that is). And apparently to the judges as both Carrie Ann and Len point out the mistakes. 3 8's for a 24.

Jane and Tony are next and her practice footage gives us insight into her food poisoning from last week. Which was apparently bad enough for her to be taken to a hospital via ambulance. Her Quickstep will be done to Walk the Line, by her good friend Johnny Cash. Ok this week, Jane is pulling out the dead friend card by talking about her relationship with both Johnny and June Carter Cash. Her Quickstep was nice and elegant, a word used often for Jane. 3 8's for their effort.

Jennie and Derek dance the waltz for their first dance and you can see the strain of learning two dances on Jennie's face. Will she crumble under the pressure? Nah....they did a good solida waltz and receive scores of 8, 8, 9.

Last up is Cameron and Edyta with a Quickstep. I think Cameron has the hardest scheudle of any of the stars. Since his soap opera films in New York and DWTS is in LA, he is back and forth almost everyday. I wonder how long it will be before he crumbles to the pressure. I, myself, thought they did a great job with the quickstep and figured he would get all 9's but alas the judges seem to be in a mood and he too get's 3 8's for a 24.

The second round of dances will be latin.

First up is Helio and Julianne with the samba, which should be easy for Helio what with his latin background. The dance was good, but Julianne's chest full of feathers was distracting. Helio gets 3 9's which gives him a total score of 52 for the night.

Marie's second dance is the cha cha and she proves she can shake that thang....Maybe now this will stop all the talk of her age. Her scores are 3 8's for a 24 which gives her a 52 for the night.

Mel and Maks have the pasa doble for their second dance and all I have to say about her costume is damn...she may as well had nothing on. Everyone loved their pasa, except me. I thought the pasa was the dance of the bullfighter and the woman was the cape. Although they did a very good dance, I did not see anything resembling a bullfight or a cape. But the judges love it and give them 30 which gives them 54 for the night

Tony and Jane have the cha cha and the only thing I can say is good, is she looked awesome in her costume. Her cha cha, although well danced was flat. No excitement. I think it is time for Lady Jane to go. 8, 9, 9 which gives her a total of 50 for the night.

Jennie and Derek have the rhumba next and everyone wonders if Jennie can pull off the romance that is required in the rhumba since she looks at Derek like a kid. She does and does it wonderfully. The judges liked it to and she gets 9, 9 and her first 10 from Bruno for a total of 53 for the night.

Last up tonight is Cameron and Edyta with the jive. This proves to be one of Cameron's better dances. His kicks and flicks are so spot on. His energy during this dance is off the charts worthy of 10's in my book. But I guess the judges don't think so as he gets 9, 9, 9 for a total of 51 for the night.

That's it for tonight and if justice is to be served, Lady Jane will go home.

(the sprained wrist is feeling a little better...hopefully next week all will be back to normal)
