Dancing W/Stars - Elimination Night - It's A TKO
So another Tuesday is upon and it's elimination night on Dancing With The Stars. The show begins with us being reminded that Samantha is back after giving birth to two huge melons.....oops sorry to a baby girl. Seriously folks, she needs to cover up her new mommie boobs. At least tonight the wardrobe department gave her supersized straps on her dress. I mean last night I was worried a strap might pop and she would be handingout all over the dance floor....literally....lol
First up is head judge Len giving all the professionals a scolding about the "lifts" from the night before and warning them that there will be no second chances....any future lifts will result in penalties.
Next up is the encore dance.....Cameron and Edyta get to do their Superman Pasa Doble tonight, and I for one was happy happy happy. I could watch him move all night long. Did you see the size of his arms....OMG....and his eyes.....and his butt......and his.......oh alright, I will get back to the recap
Our first game of who's safe tells us that Sabrina and Mark and Cameron and Edyta are safe. Next is another lame ass Jimmy Kimmel segment on the stars beign so tanned. I won't go into it, just trust me when I say LAME ASS segment.
Tonight's big musical guest of Gloria Estefan singing "The Rhythm is Gonna Get You" with Tony and Elena Grinenko along with Maks and Anna Trebunskya dancing. Oh wait, Gloria can't make it tonight so we get the music stylings of the backup singers for the band tackling Glori'as song. The dancing was much much better than the singing, that's for sure, but hte backup singers did a good job.
We are back with the Star of The Dance segment and it is none other than Wade Robeson from So You Think You Can Dance fame. I'm sorry to say, I did not like this segment at all. He choregraphed some circus freak dance rountine and both me and my daughter cringed the entire way thru the dance. I guess interpretive dance is just that......you either like it or you don't and I did not. Put the professional ballroom dancers on instead and I will be a happy camper.
And because our musical guest always sings two songs and Gloria was not able to make it tonight, the powers that be at ABC were able to convince Wayne Newton to come back and sing Danke Shoen while our favorite past winner (or at least mine) Drew and Cheryl danced again for us. I swear I could watch these two all day long. He has not lost a beat. And the chemistry is still there. To think they pulled this all together in just under 24 hours. Gop Drew!!! Go Cheryl!!!
We get a couple filler pieces, one with famous celebrity pairs talking about trust and partner issues. And one about the fear the celebs experience. In between these two pieces we find out that Mark and Kym, Jennie and Derek and Helio and Julianne are safe and Floyd and Karina are bottom two.
After a commerical break we come back to find out the fate of the three remaining couples: Marie and John, Mel and Maks and Jane and Tony......Mel and Maks are in the bottom two along with Floyd and Karina. This was a huge shocker to the judges and probably to most people. I for one was happy happy happy. Like I said before I don't like Mel B. A lot of people think Mark and Kym should have been in the bottom two.....sorry, I don't agree. Mark works hard, has some considerable improvement and is quit humble in this setting.
The judges weigh in on their shock and once that is over, we find out the Floyd and Karina are going home. Good job America you got it right this week.
Stayed tuned next week when Jennifer Loprez graces the stage on next weeks elimination show.
